I was able to take a week and go to Florida to see my sweetie and my parents.... except my folks didn't know I was coming! I left last Wednesday, and stayed with my sweetie. He unfortunately was admitted to the hospital with double pneumonia and bronchitis on Tuesday before I left. He was supposed to pick me up at the airport, but his Mom did instead.... and she and I had never met! She and I spent the next few days at his house, at the hospital, and getting to know one another! She lives about 3 hours from him, and came down since he was in the hopsital. He was finally able to come home on Friday late afternoon!
On Easter Sunday, I took off to see my folks, who live about 45 minutes from my sweetie. They were helping to serve dinners at the American Legion, and in I walked with an Easter Basket for them. One of my Mom's friends recognized me, and said, "Ginny, there is someone here to see you." Mom looked up, did a double take and then said, "Oh my God, what are YOU doing here?" Then she said to my Dad, "John, Donna is here." Dad's reply??? "Donna who?"!!!!! :rolleyes: :eek: :confused:
They were so glad to see me, and we had a wonderful visit the rest of the day. Monday was my birthday, and my sweetie and I met them for a birthday lunch, and then I stayed with them until they took me to the airport Wednesday morning.
I miss them already! And my sweetie! He is much better, but going to be off of work on short term disability until he can be released by his "team" of doctors!
