Today, my husbands dog, Shiloh was put to sleep after a long battle with cancer. He has been my husbands and his mothers companion for over 10 years, going through every hardship (including living out of a car) with a good sense of humor extreme loyalty. The vet figured he was at least 13-14 years old (the shelter they got him from long ago really had no idea how old he was). He has been living with pain for the better part of 6 months and even though its a sad time, both me and the hubby are sure that Shiloh is now romping at the RB like a young pup again.

I'm keeping his dogster page up as a memorial, pictures can be found there

Thanks for looking and remembering one of the most loyal pups I've ever had the privalage of knowing.

I'm sorry about Shiloh. :( He is no longer in pain and right now probably running and playing at the Rainbow Bridge. {hugs}

He lived a long happy life, you all should be proud that you helped him enjoy his life!

RIP, Shiloh. Look up my Shiloh (who also died of cancer) and Killian at RB....they'll show you around.
What a brave and handsome boy you were.
Hugs.

What a sad loss for your husband and his mother. :( Shiloh, you and your family will be in my prayers. We know, too well, the pain your family is feeling right now.

Thank you everyone for your kind replies, with me anyhow it hasn't fully sunk in yet...not sure about anyone else though. I am really glad though that I got to give him a good belly rub and a butt scratch the last time I saw him about a month ago, I think he knew his time was close as he spent a lot more time cuddling with me than he usually did (which is saying something because he was a major cuddle dog to begin with)

Sigh its hard for me, I can't immagine what my MIL is going through :( Even though we have our differences it still hurts to see any member of my family sad. One day at a time I guess.

**HUGS** to the both of you. :( I never got to meet him, unfortunately, but he seemed to have had a very vibrant personality! :(

Play long and hard at the bridge ol' boy! :(
