Aly, how is little Tyler doing? I am so drawn to this cutie pie and would love to learn all about him. Do you think Reece might be about to get a brother? Oh, if you have more pictures I would LOVE to see them!!

I just see this new adoption thing happening via the highways. I can imagine Pam's house with another pup!

HAHAHA! SAS you, of all people, know this type of thing has been done before and with much success!!! LOL! How would I ever break the news to the cats if I was to adopt another "DAWG!" They are none too please with me sometimes with Bella as she disturbs their rest! LOL!

I've been meaning to get some pictures up just for you Pam. I fell asleep right when I got home from work yesterday though, opps.

Ya know the great thing about Tyler is he's a little scared of kitties so he lets them boss him around. I bet Andy and Trevor would really love that ;)

Tyler has gotten really attached to me already but I don't think I'm going to keep him. I would feel almost guilty because I like to adopt "problem children" and there's nothing at all wrong with him! He sleeps right on my pillow next to me and reaches his paws out to touch me while he sleeps. He's exactly like Reece in the sense that I only have to say his name and he knows exactly what I want (ie: When we all got in bed the other night, Tyler kept licking Reece and nudging him with his nose to play and I said "Tyler..." and he ran up to me and cuddled up to go to sleep).

Here's a few pics. I'm going to take some more today and post them later on :)

Here's a sweet profile pic:

Aly,

Hi. You say you like "problem children", but doesn't Tyler
meet that discription? He's 11 years old. Not many people
off the street would be willing to adopt a "senior"dog.:(
You said it was a long story about how he came to be in
the shelter, do you have time to elaborate a little about
it now? I was thinking maybe a breed specific rescue group
could take this sweet old fellow and give him a safe place
to live out his life. Best of Luck to you & the shelter staff in placing Tyler.

AAAAAAAWWWWWWWW!! Tyler is just a sweetheart. He looks like he has already bonded with Reece! Aly I would love to hear more about Tyler. How did he happen to be turned in? Who could turn in their dog after 11 years? He has definitely landed in the best possible place he could have, at least for now. I know you are showering that little guy with lots of love. More pics please! ;)

It seems to me that there is "drool" all over Pam's posts and it then drips down to Tyler's pictures. Yup! Bella could use a companion!

LOL Gini! Yes, Tyler is precious and reminds me of my Pumpkin (RB) and Bella probably would love a companion, but I am not sure at this point that this is what would be good for me. :) Right now my home is peaceful and only a 'little crazy' at times! :D I think at this point in my life 3 pets are perfect for me physically, emotionally and financially. I wouldn't rule anything out for some day down the road - way down the road though! LOL! For now the kitties have their wish....only one dog! ;)

Tyler is so adorable! And it really looks like he and Reese are best buds :)

I just got an email from a volunteer friend at the shelter. She told me she told her sister in Dallas about Tyler and her sister's rescue group is possibly going to take him. If not, her sister also knows of a geriatric rescue and a poodle rescue that could take him. Looks like our Tyler time is limited :( But this sweet boy really deserves to be settled into his new home ASAP.

Tyler went to his new home today. The woman is in her seventies and has owned Poodles before. She also walks a mile every morning. I know they will make each other very happy. The only thing that keeps breaking my heart is the look he gave me right when I left. Oh gosh, I can't think about it anymore.

Aly that sounds like a perfect match. I know Tyler will help keep this woman "young" and she will lavish him with lots of love. I think they will be very good for each other. I can imagine some day myself being a 70-something lady and adopting yet another poodle, and a senior one at that! ;) Sounds like a glimpse of me in the crystal ball down the road! HA! :D

I'm glad Tyler has found a good home. I am sure he will be the light of the lady's life. My freinds paretns re in their 70's and have a chihuahua and they spoil that dog like you would not believe! I am sure Tyler will have the same kind of care :)

I agree that Tyler and the senior are a perfect match. She needed him and he could help her. Tyler will give her a reason to keep on going.
Another happy rescue story!! :)
