my dogs acting weird

Hi everyone, Ganphra here....I was wondering if any of you know why my dog is acting so weird, lately she has been sleeping under my bed, hiding her bones in the couch, trying to get under bushes or any small places. I dont think she's pregnant because we've had her for 5 months and right now she's 7 but i don't know the gestation period of dogs so i don't know, aswell we dont have a background on the dog so she could be pregnant but i don't know....aswell i've heard of dogs trying to find a place to die when they're sick or old but she is as active and healthy as a dog 5 years younger and thats why we're wondering why she doing this, any answers? :confused:

The gestation period for a dog is 61-63 days but can be a little less or more by a few days.

It is also possible she is having a phantom pregnancy. Have the vet look at her to find out for sure because her behaviour represents one of the two.
Does she seem to have filled out or her teats swelled etc....?

Hmm, a vet trip to rule out pregnancy or phantom pregnancy, and make sure she's physically okay. What breed is she? The hiding of things may be left from previous experiences - that's the mystery of shelter pups, we never know!

well, firstly she isn't a shelter dog.....my parents manage an apartment building and some guy couldn't afford the rent and left but left the dog because where he was going no dogs were allowed....so all we know about her is her name which is molly and the previous owner always said she was border collie crossed with jack russel terrier but vets and pet people say she is border collie cross dalmation because of the colour scheme aswell she isn't as bulky as a russel terrier....she's more like a greyhound kinda...but not that thin...anyways besides hiding stuff and squeezing under my bed she seem fine...but maybe i'll bring her to the vet just to be sure
