My cat eats a little bit of Dissolution Formula daily, and it contains wheat gluten. I went to Royal Canin's website but wasn't satisfied with the message posted there, so I phoned the number on the can and waited until I got through to a human, and asked specifically whether they had gotten any wheat gluten from Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology Development Co. The person I spoke with said they have never done business with that company.

My neighbor also called Royal Canin and he was impressed with how knolagable they were on each food they make and answered all his questions, talking until they were sure he was satisfied with the information they gave him.
Some time back he called Science diet about one of his cats and they told him to "try this and see", like they were not sure of their product. Royal Canin told him, "No, this is what you need to feed them, not that". He is switching both of his to RC...
I am still trying to decide what to do. Like him, I am not happy feeding mine something that is made by a company that makes wal mart brand stuff too. How do we know we are not paying high dollar for the same thing that is sold cheaper at wal mart.. A company that gets ingriedents from another country who's standards are probably lower than ours...
My thinking is this whole recall thing has called attention to something that needs to be "fixed" and my bet is, pet food companies are going to make major changes.
Also, unless we make it ourselves, how do we know how safe ANY of it is?
