Another new addition to The Hound House Family a Min. Pincher !!

Hannah and Copper have a new cousin. I don't know if I mentioned it or not.

Its a 9-10 week old Min. Pincher. Copper doesn't really like it, he doesn't like male dogs but would never hurt it just ignores it.

Hannah loves it, she acts like its her baby, follows it around lets it curl up into her to sleep and plays with it all the time. He hates being left alone so I puppy sit it when both his momy and daddy are away. He is great very smart and on his way to being trained to go to the bathroom outside.

The problem is his mommy is goig to have a baby, she is due the 21st of this month. Im looking after him while she is in the hospital, but we are not sure how he will ajust to the baby when he gets home.
Will he be to young to care ? is there things his mommy should do to get him ready ?? What should she do when he comes home ??


One other thing can min.pin. owners tell me about min.pins :D

Congrats on the new addition to the family! What is his name? Do you have any pics yet? He is probably young enough that there won't be a problem when the human baby arrives. If there is a jealousy problem, I would just make sure to set aside extra special time for the dog to let him know that he's not forgotten.

Congratulations!!! I am absolutely in love with min pins. I just met my first one about a month ago - it was a puppy at this great new no-cage pet store... he was the sweetest, most playful little guy! I can't wait to see some pictures :)

Don't know any advice about your situation, just had to share that I also had a recent minpin experience! My aunt and uncle just got a minpin puppy a couple of weeks ago. It is soooo cute! Couldn't weigh more than a pound! I went to their house this weekend for a Labor Day cookout, and I was constantly on the lookout for the little guy - I was so afraid of stepping on him!
He seems timid but good-natured; he loves to play with his siblings, my two 7 year old and one 6 year old cousins. He also really likes my aunt's 10-year-old daschund and keeps climbing into his bed to curl up with him. I wish I had a picture of this tiny puppy in the same bed with an old, chubby dachsund - it was very sweet to see!

Oh don't worry there are pics to come :0) When I was puppy sitting him on mon. Hannah and I took him for a walk and I got pics.

His name is Hurcules ??? I think thats how they spell it. He is a little timid and shy when he first meets you but he is slowly getting over that. I went down last night to visit him and he was soo happy to see me, I can't wait to puppysit him :) about 22 more days and the baby will be comming.

On the weekend they took him to the park in Merrickville and he ran around playing with all the kids, he is very well socilized so I don't really think the new baby will be a problem. I already told them if it doesn't work out he has a home with me :)

Well now not only do they have a new puppy cousin they have a baby cousin and I have a little niece :D :D

She was born on October the 2nd her name is Emma, I have startded a little webpage about her for my broter and his girlfriend (the girlfriend is soon to be added, she was not up for pictures that day ;) ) Emma (http://www.geocities.com/angie_j5/emma.html)

and I have another pic of Herc, he stayed with us for three days, he was such an angel I was sad to have to take him back to my brothers house, but he came up yesterday for Thanks Giving, that was a busy day a baby and a puppy :D
