Please say a prayer for my friend's Shih Tzu.{bad news 4/10)}

I just got a call from my friend Scott, he has 2 Shih Tzu's and a Shih Tzu mix.
He had his girlfriend take one of the dogs (Chewie) to the vet today because she was not was acting like her normal self.
They did not get good news...
Right now the vet thinks either pancreatitis or Liver cancer.
She will go back to the vet tomorrow for a liver biopsy, he won't know anything else until the results come back.

Please pray for Scott and Chewie. Scott is a wonderful man that loves his dogs very much. You can imagine the crap he puts up with being a 32 year old man that works in a body shop and owning those 3 small dogs. :D

Love is the greatest thing and to have it given unconditionaly is priceless!..We will be thinking of Scott,Chewie and his other 'digdogs' ....

It's neither, it's something (he couldn't remember what it was called) but it only requires pills for a while.

Thank goodness that little cutie will be okay!! She's adorable! :D

Chewie made a turn for the worse....
So his vet sent him to a Hospital in Akron, OH for further testing.
Yesterday she had an ultra sound and they found out that her liver looks like swiss cheese. :(
It's either cancer or liver diease. They are doing a needle biopsy today to confirm. With meds and a lot of TLC they give her anywhere from 6 - 18 months.

Please keep Scott and Chewie in your prayers.
Also Chewie's brother Oscar and little sister Lola.

I feel for you Scott. It's so devastating finding out that kind of news. When my Sherry was sick, I was told it was either liver cancer or Hepatitis. I treated her with the Denosyl hoping it was Hepatitis b/c at least that's treatable - not curable. When Sherry started getting worse, I knew it had to be the cancer. It is very upsetting. My thoughts and prayers are with you and precious Chewie.

Scott is not doing very well with seeing his little Chewie girl so sick. She doesn't eat much, and is weak all the time. He knows he's going to have to let her go sooner... rather than later.
I want to get to his house to see Chewie one last time before she crosses the bridge. :(

Angie, I have been lost in my own little world of problems so much I just now really "saw" this. Please know your friend and little Chewie are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry, this is just so heartbreaking :(

I'm so sorry. I just saw this, too. I hope Chewie's last days aren't painful. It's so hard to lose our special furry ones. Why can't at least our animals be safe from cancer?
