 So my neighbor has over 18 chickens and 4 roosters. They only keep 16 chickens and 1 rooster in there tiny cage. What is there reasoning? They don't like the other chickens and roosters coloring! I guess they want them to die or something. Fast forward 1 year there still alive and now pretty much live at my house. They sneak into my ducks house when the ducks are out in about in our yard and eat our food, when we were about to put the ducks in there coop last night the ducks saw the chickens in there coop and attacked them :( . I just feel so bad for those birds, but I am afraid to death of them. And now guess where the chicken is laying her eggs?

Can you see her now?

Poor ducks can't get out now because the roosters are standing around the chicken eggs. I have been throwing some food out for them, I just feel so sorry for them. Our local shelter won't do anything, won't even go out and talk to the owner about this problem. Zoey finds it very humerous to take the chicken eggs and drop it by my feet. I don't want to let the eggs hatch because the neighbors will probally come over and take the chickens and keep them, like they need more chickens. Some people should just not own animals. I have had problems with there intac aggresive chocolate lab in the past.

I'd catch those chickens and bring them into the shelter. Tell them they are strays. The neighbors never need to know.

Some people just shouldn't own any animals. That is horriable your baby duckies can't even come out in your own yard because of your neighbiors.
Those poor chickens.

Awww....poor chickens!! If I lived closer I would scoop them up in a heartbeat!! That hen looks like a Barred Rock hen, I have one of those. One of mine died last year, so would love to get another!

Here is my girl!

Poor Chicken Babies:( I don't understand why these people would favor 16 and 1 and not the rest, its cruel and the exact reason why there are poor animals homeless on the streets these days. I hope you can do something to help them, or that these owners of them will do something (although I highly doubt it) I can understand why you wouldn't want the eggs to hatch though. Keep us updated on how these little chickens are.

My friend has a silkie chicken... :( The other two were killed by a racoon, even though she does SO much to prevent this from occuring... She was going to get more chickies, but Moca likes being an only chicken... My friend wants to get mocha a fertile egg((for she is a good nest chickie)) and have her raise it, for she thinks she'd enjoy it

I would do that, but there is no way I could get my hands on them.

We spent a while trying to get them, and then the neighbors came out and asked us what where we doing to THERE chickens. WTF? It wasn't there chickens a couple weeks ago, but now it is. They told us to leave them alone and they will butcher them since they are such a bother. Why do people always make themselves the victims? We were to much in shock to say anything. But these are the same neighbors whose huge trampoline flew across four fences into our yard last fall and they still haven’t got it or even said a word to us, we were the one that said ummm your trampoline is in our yard. They said they will get it in the weekend, 6 months ago. I just am so overly angry with them. There intact chocolate lab barks all day, is kept outside all day, and has to drink out of a dirty pool for water. The shelter is now under investigation by the state because there were some llamas that were being starved and they had over 50 complaints but no action was token. Sadly the only good shelter won't take the county animals, but they will take the city pets.
