Ho! Another Big-footed, double-pawed black cat! I say "another" because the black cat that I sometimes refer to is also double-pawed. That is why his full name is "Jim Slim Many Toes." He has all kinds of toes - in fact, I have never been able to count them all, because his feet tend not to stay still when one turns them over and tries to count.

If Junior brings as much joy and with his black fur shines so bright a light into your lives as Jim does ours, then you are in for a grand time. I envy your 13 year-old. Would that I had such a grand cat at the age of 13, but I grew up in a catless home.

As you can tell, life was hard back then... really, really, hard... no cat.

How the hell did I survive?

Best wishes to the cat and the kid!

Oh - by the way, the black cat is curled up atop his "cat tree," sleeping, just to my side and I am actually sitting in my chair tonight. Sometimes, he can be pretty generous and downright self-sacrificing.

A delightful kitten, and what a cool pose, all fur and toes! I remembered your big brother, after I clicked the link. What a pair you'll make when you are older! Happy day from all us furpeople and their servants.
PS - Grasshopper is a big fan of Lillian Jackson Brown and was wondering if the prosaic Frostfrog was by any chance Mr. Qwilleran, servant to KoKo and YumYum!

Hi, Junior:)
Our Juni's name stands for Junior too. We didn't know if she's a boy or a girl and in Romanian we have different names for different genders, so we decided it's going to be Juni from Junior or Junioara. It's Juni from Junioara.
You are such a sweet cat, and I think your soft touch with those little paws it's softer just because you have more finger tips than the rest of the cats. :D
Be happy and bring joy to all your humans. Nice to meet you;) :)

:) :) :) I'm using all the smilies because that's what I did when I saw your picture, Junior! You are just adorable, and must bring so much joy to your family! I haven't had a little kitten in a long, long time, but I remember how much joy the last one brought to me. Have a wonderful Friday, as our Cat of the Day!! :D

You are just sooooo cute! And I agree...little rasal just fits you! I wonder how old you are by now???? Maybe your human friend has a more current photo, as kittens change so quickly!! We have a "big foot" at our house too - his name is Tucker! We hope you and Tickles have a great day - with extra treats and snuggles for you, Junior! You are just precious!

Kohala - I have done a little bit of research since reading your post. As I have come understand it, this Qwilleran guy is a billionaire journalist (an oxymoron if I ever encountered one) and that pretty much leaves me out, right there.

Also, he is a southerner, where as I am a Northerner. Furthermore, he solves mysteries, apparently with the help of the cats, Koko and Yum Yum - in other words, he finds the answers to things. Whereas for me, the more information I gather, the less I understand and the fewer answers I have. The cats only contribute to my confusion - albeit in a most wonderful way.

No, I am not Jim Qwilleran but rather the Frostfrog, oftentimes mixed up with the Running Dog, but the Running Dog is not a man at all but rather an airplane, the one which once carried the Frostfrog all about the Far North, but is now broken and in pieces. This would definitely not be the case if I were a billionaire. Oh, certainly, the Running Dog would have been broken - collisions with trees will do that to an airplane - but it would also have been rebuilt.

The names of the cats that I am so fortunate as to share life with are, in ascending order of years: Jim Slim Many Toes, Chicago, Royce and Little Clyde Texaco. The Iditarod reject Alaskan racing husky that is constantly humiliated, outwitted and outmaneuvered by these felines - who is none-the-less a brilliant as canines go - is Willow, so named because her mother gave birth to her on the road from Fairbanks to Anchorage enroute to the Iditarod start of 1990, just as they reached the community of Willow.

But, since you are thinking in literary terms, here is a clue - not for past or present reference but future: think of us - the aforementioned cats and I, plus The Whole Kitten, Kaboodle, Tumbleweed, Thunder Paws and certainly Little Guy - whenever you munch upon graham krackers. It doesn't matter whether you dip them in milk or not.

You have aroused my curiosity. If ever I find the time, I must read about this Qwilleran guy, who most definitely is not I.

Junior, you shall have a marvelous impact on people throughout your life! After all, you have inspired the delightful Frostfrog to share some of his story with us. Now we must encourage him to share pics of JimSlimManyToes and all the pride (especially the Iditarod reject!) We enjoy your posts, Your Frostiness, and hope you keep 'em coming!
Ciao and Miao from the folks down south, who are waiting until they, too, can return to the beautiful North, feline in tow. Although we will still be Southerners to you, as our stop will be the Northern Woods of Idaho.
