Mufasa's Neutering: March 30th (He's home 3-31)

So, I finally booked an appointment for his neutering. He will go in Friday and come home Saturday. I have Saturday and Sunday off so I will be able to watch hime that weekend.

I've been telling those with new puppies not to worry, they'll be fine, but now it's time to take my own advice! :p

Moo will be fine Kay. Male dogs, imo, have it easier than females. It'll be over with in no time and he'll be running around. I know, you will still worry, I did too. ;)

I won't tell you not to worry.. as I know that's absolutely impossible! But I know it'll go just fine and you will be relieved that it's all over with. Little Moo man will be up and about in no time at all. I will certainly say a prayer for him and hold him in my thoughts that day.

Yup, chocolatepuppy's right. Males are quick and easy. A few snips, a couple sutures, and they're done! The last one I saw took about 10-15 minutes. Mufasa will be running around with that happy smile in no time :)

Awww.. I know it's hard not to worry. But MooBoo will be just fine, Kay. I know every case is different but I remember that RB Cody didn't even realize it, never licked or anything. With your loving care, he'll be a champ! Kiss that sweet head for me!

I had my father check this morning (he dropped Moo off while I was at work) to see if someone would be there all night. They said yes, someone will be monitoring them.


I got a message when I got home from work that his surgery was sucessful and that he is doing wonderful.

I want to see my little boy so badly! It was so weird to come home to only 3 dogs. :( Trying to keep my mind off of it, though, and I bought him a welcome home gift on my way home from work. :)

My dad stopped by my work on the way to the vets so I got to kiss my little boy for a bit and hug his soft self before sending him off. :(

He will be just fine, it's a simpler thing for boys than girls, too, so even less woprries than with Ki or Nala!

Awww I know what an empty feeling it is when they are gone, especially overnight. Raven had to stay overnight after her spay too and it felt so sad. I'm glad the surgery is over and went well, and I can't wait to see that he's home!

I didn't get ANY sleep last night. I kept tossing and turning and then got up every half hour or so to check the time. Now, I still have a hour to go. They told us to call at 9AM and they would let us know when to come pick him up.

He's been home for about a hour and a half and has slept the whole time. He's never been much of an active puppy. He's very lazy, so it's not that new for us. We've been cuddling ever since he got home. ;)


We called them at exactly 9am and they said whenever we could get up here to come and get him. Now, anyone who knows me knos I *have* to take a shower before going anywhere. Well, I just put on some jeans and walked out the door ready to get him. I didn't even brush my hair. :p


I'm not sure who was more excited to see who.
