Has you cat ever gone missing and you couldn't find them ANYWHERE? We have. We could find Smit for the longest time once, and we were starting to freak out. Anyway, I can't remember if my mom was looking, or getting a shirt, but she found the cat streched out in one of her drawers. (it was closed too..so I duno how my mom didn't see her in there..she looks pretty comfy tho! )
Another scary time, we actually found her in the bottom of our stove (Where the pots go) Like I said, I have NO idea how my mom didn't see her when she closed it. We heard a little noise from in there, and opened it and there she was..Weird lmao. Anyone else found their cats in weird places?

In the refrigerator - that is the all-time weird spot for my kitties. My RB kitten Squee managed to sneak in while I held the refrigerator door open too long. Fortunately, I figured out where he was before too long - he got a bit cold, but no damage.

He never did tell me if the light stays on in the refrigerator when the door is shut! ;) ;)

One day , I couldn't find Sydney anywhere !!!
I yelled my lungs out , but no cat !!!!
Suddenly I heard a bell ringing softly in the night hall ; my first thought was : there are only closets there !!!!
Then I listened more carefully and I squized a bag of treats ;
Guess what happened ?? One of the sliding door slowly opened , and there he was , looking at me with on his face : "Hey , why are you yelling so loud ?? I am sleeping you know !!" ;) :D ;)

there are times when I think Ritz has the capability of making herself invisible (no doubt from ordering that book from Amazon.com "Cheshire Cat in 10 Easy Lessons")..

We usually close our bedroom door during the day when we are at work, not because we mind Ritz b eing in there, but sometimes the door will close on its own and we don't want Ritz to be locked in without food/water/litterbox.

One morning I was leaving for work and going through my "where's Ritzy" check. This way I know she is in open territory when leaving the house, and has access to all kitty necessities.

One morning, already running late, there was no Ritzy to be found. I tried all methods of attraction, open the back door, open the patio door (always comes running for those), calling her name....panic sets in as I was worried she was sick or hurt and couldn't come (she almost always comes when called). I went back up stairs, opened the bedroom door, went back down, looked under all chairs, back up under all beds, inside all closets....no Ritzy

In exasperation, I said "Ritzy, WHERE ARE YOU?" and this little face popped around the corner of the staircase, half way up, with a little meow and a look, "what's up mom?".....to this day I don't know where she was - hence my belief that she has the ability to temporarily become inviso-cat!

Although this temporary residence that I am now occupying is too small for any of my furkids to hide in, I did"find" Tiger in a restaurant, in that she was brought in by a couple of teen-aged girls looking for someone to give her to. When I saw her lynx- siamese points, I immediately took her. And now she is nearly 9 lbs. of mischevious kitty, and not yet 1 year old!

Our Noel hides in places unknown! We will rattle her mice, shake a treat bag, open the refrigerator, open the slider, even play with the laser pen (aiming it in every crevace in our apartment) and she still is no where to be found....maybe she and Ritzy have been talking! :)

Noah's wierdest place is my husbands backpack. If it ends up on the floor, Noah is in it! It is too cute!

OK, this is not weird, but caused us to look for Kitty for quite a while. We just coulnd't find her anywhere, we yelled, and called her, nothing. We checked all the closets, bathroom, everything. Well, not everything apparently, because she was on my chair which was under the dining table  There she was and when we found her, she just looked at us with an expression on her face: what's this fuss hoomans, I wanna sleep!:D

I lost Jasmine once and went into a panic as she was gone for two hours. Then I remembered I had grabbed something from the linen cupboard door, went upstairs, opened the door and there she was! She doesn't meow, only does little squeaks, so she didn't respond when I called her earlier!

This is Jasmine on top of the kitchen cupboards, with her friend the M&M dispenser.

I've found Storm a few times hidden under a chair and sleeping on my shoes. Here's a picture of that.

Pepper has gotten himself locked in my roommates bathroom and also locked out of my condo. Luckily the front door opens up to a hallway and not to the outdoors. Sunny has hidden under my bed and gotten himself locked in my roommates room. These aren't unusual places but when they were in these places it took me a while to find them. :)

Tatty would sometimes scare me, he loved to sleep in the linen cupboard. Not knowing he was in there I would go and get a towel or something, opening the door I would see this face looking up at me. it made me jump.

I have found my Sapphire sleeping in the sink, hiding in the dryer, and in numerous kitchen drawers. But her love for small, cozy spots really surprised us when we found her squeezed in a shoebox in my closest! :D

Fister has found a new hiding place - or so he thinks. I found it! I have this huge cupboard with four shelves. Three of them have duvets and pillows and one is for my summer/winter clothes. Recently, Fister has learned how to open that one. I was looking all over for him and then I saw the door to that cupboard was slightly open - there he was, on a pile of summer clothes. :D

Buddy used to go missing on me in the house as well. I think he is a Houdini cat like Noel and Ritz. He doesn't do this very often any more but he will get completely under the covers on my bed or Rachael's bed and will make himself so compact that you do not see him. I don't know how he can breathe in there but he does. A couple times I have gotten into my bed at night only to hear a meowrrarrrr because I sat or laid on him!

Cam doesn't have any weird hiding places, she likes to lay on Digi's bed, the floor, the chair, the little doggy bed, & my bed.

My childhood cat was once found in the dryer. I was doing laundry & didn't see her hop in. I closed the door, turned it on & got a few feet away from it when I heard THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP... I thought it was odd as I only put clothing in the dryer.. SO I opened the door & the cat cried.. I dug her out & chased her up stares while yelling at her, in hopes she wouldn't be stupid enough to try that again... nope, she did it again, except she was in there a lot longer as my mom was/is dense... I got her out & she was a hot kitty... from then on, we had o make sure she wasn't in the dryer.

Mac will go waaay in the back of my clothes closet (it's big) and fall asleep where I can't see him. Ming will hide in the hall linen closet. He will open the door with his paw and jump up to the third shelf where all the softer stuff is kept. I've frequently gotten a scare opening the hall closet and finding a pair of blue eyes staring back at me!

When ever we have company Kallie usually will run off and hide somewhere. Whenever the company is gone she usually reappears within a short time. We had an unexpected visitor that was only there for a short time but after a long wait we started worrying about Kallie. We did have the door open for a long time so we were worried that she slipped by us while we were at the door talking. Then we started the search of our house looking in all of her usual hideouts and then we were getting franic because we had looked everywhere at least we thought we had. Most places I probably checked 2 or 3 times.

In our entrance way there is a half bath that has on old fashion treadle sewing machines in it. When it is folded up it makes a very compact box shaped piece of furniture that we use as a corner table in the bath. I had looked under the machine at least 3 times and recall thinking with that treadle, Which I could see, across the bottom, she couldn't get in the machine. I also recall thinking with the way things fold up there is no room inside either. Well as it turns out I was wrong on both counts. After literally tearing the house asunder I decided one last time to look under that machine and then I said what the heck, and I opened the machine door. There huddled on the treadle was kallie. Looking at the size of the opening under the bottom we still can't figure out how she got in there.

Our sweet kallie now has a small world. Since she is both deaf and blind we keep her in our Bedroom, bath, sunroom suite. She manages to find her food and litter box, but she gets disoriented from time to time, and just wanders around yowing until she find a familar spot. We are amazed at how well she does. Kallie will soon be 18, which I guess is pretty old for a cat.

Marbles is finding new places every day. None are too strange (well, I think the kitchen sink is a strange place to hang out, but she likes it), but this morning she surprised me at the top of the ladder I have stored in the hallway. Apparently she likes to get up high and was quite proud of her little self.

She likes the bathtub and an old cat carrier that I keep hidden in a corner next to a heater - that's her special snuggie hidey hole. She also likes to sit in the windows and it doesn't matter where they look out. I live in a 100-year old Victorian with strange airways with "windows" leading to the airway; there's nothing to look at, but Marbles like to sit there and just stare.

I found Moose behind the books in my bookcase , where someone he was so well hidden that I couldnt see his 18 pounds.:D
Michael has hidden himself literally under the muslin of the bed and has scared me that he had sneaked out :)
A few of My Cats hid under the basement stairs , up in the rafters and in the smallest spaces where you would think theu couldnt fit:love:
Scrappy 2 used to sleep on top of the curtains where they connect to the wall, and once was in the wash tub downstairs.
I didnt notice until I threw some wet shirts in!!!

I once found Harry on the 3rd floor roof, right outside a closed and locked window. Of course, nobody opened the window, then closed it again. Poor Harry was terrified! He was balancing on a 3" ledge of the roof!

Well, Tallulah was missing the other day and the only place she could have been was in my room. So, I looked in my closet, didn't see her. Looked under my bed, didn't see her. She wasn't in the window, and there really was no other place she could be. A lot of time passed and then I went back and looked in my closet. The Mountain Dew 24 pack drink box, that she LOVES to crawl into, well, it was in my closet. I picked up the box, and tada, there she was :p! She also likes to hide under the water heater, which is not a good place for her  but it's impossible to get back there, hence why she likes it.

Gizzie got locked in the closet once, though. That was pretty funny :D.

My cats have never hidden under the covers in my bed but I've found Pearl hidden under the recliner cover on the seat part. She'll also hide under the skirt part of it to try to ambush the other cats as they walk by. Sunny used to hide under the skirt of my couch cover. I'd see a big lump and usually it would be him but sometimes it would be Pearl. Pearl also loves to hide in my closet if I let her. Storm was caught on top of my refrigerator one night because my former roommate told me how he scared her. I've also found Storm in the cabinet under the sink in my hall bathroom.

My RB Meezer liked to sleep on top of the curtain rod in the living room, and also on top of doors. Another cat used to open the cabinet in the kitchen where I keep the pots and pans, and curl up and sleep in one of them. Another was a bathroom sink sleeper.

My son's 2 cats, get inside the recliner by pulling the fabric on the back out, just enough to get inside. They also open the door to the linen closet and sleep on the clean towels. They also have a secret place that no hoomans have found yet. They go missing, we search all the regular places, and can't find them. They eventually reappear when it suits them.....:p

Seine loved to hide and find out of the way spots. At our old house I would take the cats outside with me. They had harnesses and leashes, so they were slowed down and they couldn't leave the yard. We were outside for awhile and I couldn't see Seine. I called and heard meowing- from the roof!! She liked to climb a tree in the yard and must have hopped over to the house. Luckily she was able to get down.

At our current house, she figured out how to push the screen out from the door without scratching it so we wouldn't notice. She also went up into the ceiling by the dryer vent once.

Kiki managed to get stuck in the fridge once and I'm not entirely sure how- thankfully she was fine!

Desmond likes to "hide" under the livingroom rug at times. He's not really too hidden though because you can see a huge lump in the middle of the rug! :D

Aren't cats the best?
