If you have lost a pet suddenly to kidney/ liver failure since november PLease check out the latest pet food recall.
They pet food companies have known about the dangers for a long time and did nothing. If you fed any of the foods on the list contact the manufacuters and get a statement from your vet.
It won't bring your pet back, but if they have to put their hand in their pocket to pay the vets bill it may just be enough to make them take better care next time.
I would also encourage everyone to seriously consider starting to cook for your pets.

The government says Menu Foods tested suspect dog and cat food on as many as 50 animals after it learned of the problems -- weeks before the company announced its major recall of the affected food. Seven test animals died.
