Goldfish or Tropical Fish?

I was looking at my beautiful goldies tonight and the question popped in my head. I was wondering how many people like goldfish more than tropical fish or tropical fish more than goldfish.

Personally, I have always loved goldfish like million times more than tropical fish. I have tried tropical fish before, but I usually always end up going back to Goldfish. I like goldfish so much because they get really big and they have such personality and funness.:D

So what type of fish do you like more?

I have found that I like tropical fish more, mainly guppies and tetras. But I do like goldfish too.

Hard Poll.Bettas and Goldfish are my favorite fish followed by cichlids.But I choose tropical fish becasue right now I have 4 bettas and hope to get goldfishies in a few years.I am in love with the shubunkin goldfish(I think that is how you spell it)

lol sometimes I"m not too sure how to spell it either, I think you spelt it right. they are a very pretty goldfish. That's what Seaking is, he is shubunkin, and Duke is Shubunkin/Koi:)

I don't own any fish, nor do I have any interest in owning one, but I like tropical fish.

I wish I had fish. I like them both, but I love the large variety both phsically and environmentally of tropical fish.

I love my goldfish, but in my mind, nothing beats a tank full of african cichlids. The variety & coloring that cichlids offer is amazing.

I can't decide. I love my goldfish, but they are so high maintenence. And I love my tropicals, but each member of the species is an exact clone of the others. I don't necessarily differentiate between them though. I consider them the same category: freshwater fish.

I think tropical fish are very pretty! They do require a lot of care and I personally couldn't have a tropical fish tank.

I like Cichlids best. I have a Betta, but I'd never go out to buy one. Large Cichlids have way too much personality. Mango is awesome. Everyone that has come into our home just love him (& they fear him lol)... If they see me, they always say, do you still have that crazy big orange fish? Darn straight! He should be around for another good 15yrs.. He turned 5yrs old dec 2006

I voted for tropical fish ... mind you, my favourite fishes are Plekos and Catfish (just love the little whiskers! :D:D)

... followed closely by the Guppies and the clown loaches (they're just so cute and silly when they swim around in a group)!

I have tanks of both....not really sure i like one over the other....they are just different...with different needs and different looks

Im so into tropical fish!
They r so neat looking and i am thinking about getting one when Moonlight dies(he is a beta fish and i love him very much)! :)
