Last night around 1:30am I noticed that there were a lot of bubbles on the left side of the tank. They were about an inch thick and I have no idea why they are there. I have a male Crowntail Betta and he is in a 2 gallon tank. He also stays flared up alot and is always moving around. I dont know if that has anything to do with it but alot of info is better than not enough right? So whats going on with this fish lol

He is making a bubblenest. Some bettas do that.Nemo and Ruby 2 of my males make them off and on all the time. :) To me it means they are happy.

He is making htem incase a female comes by. If one does come by, mating is very violent, male could even rip some of her fins. After mating, female lays her eggs, and male takes care of them cleaning them and such. :D So basicly, they feel comfortable, and it's a goood place to raise kids!!! :p

^Sometimes females are more aggressive then males when breeding.I have heard stories on my betta forum when the females beat up the males.
