Hi all... here again with another question... :D The vet suggested Noba be put on MSM for his HD (until he gets surgery) to help with inflammation... and to save him from prolonged problems of being on a prescription such as Rimadyl or Deramaxx. He told me I could use human MSM instead of buying the pricey MSM at the pet store. Although he didn't tell me what mg dosage to give Noba. I bought some MSM for humans and the dosage is 1500 mg per pill. Noba weighs approx 52 lbs... any suggestions on the right dosage amount to give him. His vet is on vacation for two weeks, so unfortunately there is no way to get an answer. He sees a private vet, so right now all the clinic is taking is tech appointments... thanks for the help AGAIN!!! :D

I will have Mike check when he gets to the store to see how much of the Solid Gold MSM he would get and you can go from there. The MSM is for the glucosomine to help build up the joints. If you want an anti-inflammitory, we give Sox (who has HD and blew out her ACL) and Rinney (who blew out his ACL or something else close) Yucca supplement from Solid Gold. Both of them are doing much better. We also give Rinney Solid Gold's Sea Meal.

Ask the pharmacist! I do! He/she will want to know the weight of the dog.

Hi, Noba is already on 1000mg of glucosamine a day. Is giving the MSM too much then? His vet told me to give it to him in tandem with the glucosamine? Ugh, why did the vet have to go on vacation now?? grrrr....
