Aspen and Misty

Julian, my 5 year old Holland Lop started having very small poops, stopped eating and seemed to have lost a lot of weight on Saturday. I have very little money right now between my sisters wedding (I’m the maid of honor) and going to Alaska so I just kept an extremely close eye on him over the weekend and made him an appointment with my vet for today at 3:30. When they weighed him he only weighed 4 and a half pounds, his normal weight is about 5 and a half pounds. They did x-rays (He was such a good boy for these to, they didn't even have to use anesthesia or anything, he just laid there!) and a fecal test and it was exactly what I thought it was, all that Holland Lop hair had finally got tangled in his intestine and he was blocked. (Remember when Jaxom, my other rabbit went through this last year because of some carpet??)
The vet said as long as we can get his intestine moving it seems like my little man will be ok. He has to take 3 different meds 3 times a day and I have to force feed him twice daily until I notice he is eating on his own again. I am so relived and thankful that he will be fine. But I have to ask, can you all keep him in your prayers and thoughts. This is a hard, painful, streffull thing for a bunny to go through, but Julian took it all in stride. I cried all day over what would happen tonight at the vets, the thought of not having him in my life scares me to death. I know he is getting older but I just hope that he will stay with me forever.
Here are a few old, but good pics of my baby.
