Since the other thread has four pages I decided to make another. Maggie's temp right now is 100 degrees. She is doing nothing but sleep lately. Here are some pictures taken a few minutes ago she is even bigger than she was yesterday.

Last summer I watched my neighbors beagles when he was on vacation. Here are two of his boys I believe he has three. Yes those are ticks on their faces.

Her temp today is 100.1 all she has done today is sleep. She has stuck by my side as well. I'm glad she is going to make it to her appointment. From my calculations she could be anywhere from 50-65 days pregnant I doubt she is 65 days though. Just a question. My dog Gracie loves to kill small animals. You don't think she would try to hurt newborn puppies would she. I will keep her away from them either way.

If Gracie likes to kill small animals then yes, I think your best bet is to keep her away from them. You can never be to careful.
Are those the dogs you assume to be the father?
Please to keep us updated on her progress and let us know how tomorrow goes!

yes they are the only males I know of around. There was a loose foxhound that I saw one time but it was before she went into heat. Those dogs escape their pen sometimes. I will definatly keep Gracie away from them then. She loves other dogs but likes to kill squirrels, rats birds hamsters ect (she is half jack russel after all) so better save than sorry.

Well maggie isn't pregnant. She was having a false pregnancy and has cysts on her ovaries, they gave her an ultrasound and found it, so she is getting spayed tomorrow morning. I don't get to see her again until wednesday morning. I hope she does well tomorrow.

I think it's good news that Maggie doesn't have to go through all that.
I wish her the best of luck with the spay surgery. :)
Did you try to remove any of the ticks from your neighbor's dogs? Doesn't
he treat his dogs for fleas & ticks?

His dogs live in a filthy muddy dog run and never get any attention. These didn't even know how to walk on a leash. One also yelped when you picked it up or scared it. Poor babies. The animal control cant do anything because they have food water and shelter. Yes I picked all the ticks off of them that I could. (they live in the woods in a small pen.)

I am glad you got her to the vet before the cysts became more life-threatening, and that she'll be okay. In our prayers for a safe spay, and a happy Maggie home again.

She did well during her operation and the vet said if she was awake and aware at 5 we could bring her home.
