Yes, it is the highest point behind the neck at the shoulder blades.

Reading the Lab standard I see ;)


The skull and foreface should be on parallel planes and of approximately equal lengthThis means that the top of the head (skull) and the nose (foreface) should be parallel to each other. Notice on this dog, CH Deep Run Spencer For Hire, the top of his head and nose are almost parallel.

It would be easier to see if he was looking straight out in front of him instead of up a little.


Also, when does a male and female normally stop growing?Most Labs quit growing between 18-24 months, though it varies from line to line and it will be different for other breeds as well.

lizbud, thanks I didn't know dogs had a "brisket!"

What with St. Pat's coming up and I usually buy a "corned beef brisket," now I have to make sure it says BEEF! :D
