Trouble maker that I am - I am opening the bar!

Let's clean this place up - there are grass skirt leaves all over the place and dead flowers and a few very crumpled umbrellas from the drinks.

This week we are 'TASTING' What is it that you have never tasted before and would like to try?

Mario says he goes first - he wants a banana milkshake! Wouldn't you know?:D

I've always wanted to try a chocolate martini. Now doesn't that look divine?

Maybe I'll have a banana milkshake, too. Maybe we should get some good things like stuffed potato skins to go with the sweet things.

Did someone say Chocolate Martini??? Here is Sara's Don making one when I was down there a year ago. I took one sip and could tell it was too much for me. I don't like sweet things anyway but given a different circumstance (if I hadn't had those slushies first :o ), I probably could have stomached it. ;)

Me?? I've always wanted to try a Zombie. Isn't that one of those drinks with many different types of rum?? One Zombie please to see me through the next couple of days.

Thanks for opening up the bar Gini. Gee, was that a year ago already??? Seems like yesterday.

Wow! Leave the bar for a minute or two and the requests start pouring in.

Scramble, scramble, mix, shake, stir................

For DDM - a chocolate martini
For Marigold - a whisky sour
For Slick - One Zombie (watch out, you talk funny after having one of these)

Having a chocolate martini made by Don with Godiva chocolate liqueur -----
well, you just had to be there. It is a one way ticket to heaven.

You are more than welcome here..........but we do have one rule - you must tell one good, clean joke and then you are a full member entitled to all of the benefits of the bar (which are????:D )

But to welcome you - here is your non-alcoholic chocolate martini.............
It is Hershey's syrup with soda water and a splash of sweet and sour.

A joke ??? Awwwww ok then.
An Aussie one.

A Texan was on holidays in Australia, siteseeing from a coach driving through the outback. In his usual loud voice he was commenting on the cattle and sheep that he saw.
"My Garrrrd...they ain't cattle....we got longhorns three times that size, and what ??? You caaaall them sheep ??? We got sheep six times that big."
Just then a kangaroo hopped by the coach, and looking in amazement the Texan said " Whaaaat on earth is thaaaat??"
An Aussie sitting next to him replied " That ??? Don't you know a mouse when you see it ??"

There....can I be a life member now ????

An Irish coffee for the good Dr. (in jammies) and a hot wine for Ceph.

Now Ceph - did you tell your joke for your membership fee?

Oh, Oh, Slick does have lipstick markings all over her face doesn't she? Let me see if I can gently clean it off before she wakes up.

I am taking breakfast orders - who wants what?

Day 183 of my captivity....My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre
little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape and the mild satisfaction I get from ruining the occasional piece of furniture. Tomrrow I may eat another houseplant.

Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded...must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed.

Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and commented about what a good little kitty I was.

Hmmm, not working according to plan.

There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary confinement throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the food. More importantly, I overheard that my confinement was because of my power of "allergies."

Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.

I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously an idiot. The bird, on the other hand, has got to be an informant and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room, his safety is assured. But I can wait; it is only a matter of time...

Can I get some really expensive scotch? Its going to be one of those days (including tomorrow) -- too much work to finish off before goin 'way for 3 days next week. Sadly enough, no one to do my job for me while i'm gone :(

Too early for chocolate? Is there anywhere on the planet that THAT occurs? I don't care what time zone you're in, it's NEVER too early for chocolate! A Mocha Latte sounds perfect right now, with a side of French toast.

Something I've never tasted before? Hmmm, may I have an easier question? It's too early for one as difficult as that! :p

wolflady
03-01-2007, 12:38 PM
Amen, Redhedd!! It's never too early for chocolate.

A hot chocolate with a splash (or two...or three) of peppermint schnappes would be nice. I'm excited about starting a new career on Monday, so the next round is on me! :D

It's difficult being bartender............so many things to do.

Sara, thanks for bringing in the chocolate covered graham crackers - we just need to keep them away from Mario. So far he has licked the chocolate off of half of them.

Ceph - great story - and welcome to Thursdays.

Now back to breakfast - eggs? How do you like them?
French toast coming right up - fresh orange juice too..........

Karen, I know, will volunteer some of that great maple syrup. The REAL stuff.

Hmmm, now where is that r e a l l y expensive scotch? I think we hid it. I will keep looking. A mocha latte - gotcha - peppermint schnappes in hot chocolate - right here.

Phew! I have been running from one end of the bar to the other - I had no idea that Richard stocked this bar so well..................

MARIO - GET YOUR FINGERS OFF OF THAT FRENCH TOAST RIGHT NOW!!

Ceph
03-01-2007, 12:53 PM

I have a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue if anyone is interested....and some goood Swiss White Wine (fendent)

I'll take a quick plate of french toast (preferably not the ones Mario licked), whatever else you've got cooking, plus something chocolate, and maybe an Irish coffee, too. Getting ready to go in for my last day at my part-time job, and it's been gray and pouring buckets of rain all day. :( I think we've only had about 6 hours of sunshine all week. Is spring really coming soon? I'll bring back some chocolate truffles from the mall on my way back after work...truffles are fun! Hey, Mario, give me back my umbrella!

Come to think of it, I don't think I did post a thread about this! Basically, I'm going back to my previous company. They wanted me back and even created a position just for me, which I thought was pretty cool. I won't be in marketing anymore, but will be working in support as a customer account manager. I get to keep our customers happy. :)

Yes Mario, perhaps you dressed up with a little hat and tassel with cymbals clashing would make the customers happy. They would at least get a laugh out of it! :p

Still in your jammies? Sounds good to me - well, I am finally back into my jammies - and just about ready to end the long day. Two whiskeys neat for you.

I hope you don't mind if I have a few vodka truffles before bed - the hazelnut
sound so good. I like Frangelico a lot.

Oh oh, caramels -well teeth - are you up to that?

Good night everyone - see you in the morning - let's hope it is a great day for everyone.

Cyber - hope that you forget about the "latest style" and opt for good comfortable slacks and a warm sweatshirt. Enjoy the end of your job!
