what kind of dog is this??

I adopted Sunny 2 years ago and i still cant figure out what kind of dog he is. Ive been told he looks like part afghan hound and part springer spaniel...but hes not really big....

We once kept a cocker/afghan hound cross that looked A LOT like that!!!

Cocker Spaniel for his overall shape, Afghan for the silky fur ... though I can see the Shepherd in his coloring, but nothing else ... but of course, he's 100% yours! And that's what counts!

Welcome Kafrin to Pet Talk. In regards to what kind of breed your dog is, i also agree there is spaniel in him. Whatever he is, one thing for sure, he is one beautiful dog.

I can't say how many different breeds Sunny may have in him, but I own a registered German Shepherd (Rudy) and can definitely see his face in Sunny's! Probably a cross between an Afghan and a Shepherd.

I would definatly say she has spaniel in her. Those ears or very identifiable. I don't know if I can help more than that.
