my cat likes to hold down paper with her front paws and use her teeth to tear it (I call her my feline confetti specialist)... she also likes to play with a pen or pencil --

Well, Angel loves to eat Cheetos. (She got in the bag one day and we found all the Cheetos cheese less  )
Angel can only sit on the chair. Not the sofa, not the floor- just the chair ;)

1. steals mcdonalds french fries one at a time when he thinks no one is looking
2. staring at the dogs until they leave the room
3. sitting at the head of the table during family funciton meals with no intention of leaving (and only that chair)
4. knocks hard cover books off headboards onto sleeping people just to see what happens (family, guests, whoever).

I love the french fries story. My cat is an 8 year Bengal cat who loves to steal pizzia off my plate. And when I'm on the phone he MEOWS at me,of course I must be talking to him. He loves to steal kitty treat bags and open up the bag with his teeth and leaves the empty packgage near the recycling bin. An eviromental cat. :)

*grin* living in California, it must come natural to him to want to recycle like that -- very cute! You'll have to set him up with a recycling bin in his size ;)

Hobbes also tries to steal Sushi, but his efforts are always thwarted on that note ... except for the mackerel pieces, he can have those ;)

This thread brought back a funny memory. I came from a dog family; had dogs all my life. Once I was out on my own, I didn't really have the life style for a dog, so I lived alone for several years. I moved to RI and there were stray cats living in the parking lot, eating out of the dumpster. Some of the tenants put out kitty food. One cat caught my eye and, make a long story short, over 3 months I made contact with him and brought him in. My first cat!

Next morning, I took him in to the vet. After checking him out, informing me I had a HE (already neutered) not a SHE, and giving some shots, the vet told me, "Bring him back in 2 weeks for his next round of shots. Meanwhile, keep an eye on him, and when you come back let me know anything unusual."

And I replied, "Doc, everything he does is unusual. I mean, he doesn't bark, he meows!" :D

Nine cats and 13 years later, my vet STILL reminds me of this!

Two of my guys know how to open cupboards, one even knows how to open the door above the oven. What are they after, treats of course. I now have to keep the treats in the crock pot with the lid on. Otherwise they would have no daily treats......a rather spoiled group in this house. My beloved Tuxie (RIP) had a fondness for yeast rolls and was known to climb in the truck of the car and root around until he found them. Then he would eat the tops off of them. People don't know what they are missing unless they are owned by a cat. :D

One of my guys has developed a fondness for tortilla chips  I have to admit that I will break them into relatively small pieces for him just so he can eat them. Oh the things we do for our guys ;)

My Carly has a fondness for tortilla chips also. In addition to broccoli (raw and cooked), cole slaw, carrots, green beans, chips, dip, and the list goes on. Oh, and if we order take out from Cheddars, we get an extra dinner portion of the salmon to share with her and the 10 others. What we do for the love of our babies............ :D

My two doofuses Bubba and Pink Nose MUST quality-check every new bag of food! I always find a big hole in it, with the two fatties chowing down. Never mind that it is the exact same kind of food that's in the bowl. ("But it's a different batch, Meowmie!") :D

Bubba also holds down the food dish with his paw so it won't escape.

Mobius and Bosun sometimes scoop food up with their paws and eat it.

Smokey the Younger likes to drink from the tub faucet (and ONLY that faucet!)

Ebony (RB) used to wash my hair. :p

Luna, Diamond, and Pink Nose mooch for whipped cream.

Luna eats bananas(!) Maybe he craves potassium being a kidney cat.

One of my cats, Freckles, likes to groom my hair :D Another one, Sheba, likes to chew on the ends of my hair; but only when it's wet  Watch out for Dimples, if you bed over near one of her high resting spots, you end up with a passenger on your back

My one cat Bookie loves green olives. My other cat (grey and white)BooBoo treats celery leaves like catnip Which I find very strange.

When my alarm goes off BooBoo will jump up on the dresser and continue to knock things off until I get up. This same cat loves to take bathtub showers. He will put his whole head under the bathtub faucet and let the water run down his head then he will drink from the faucet.

Eepie will walk through the entire apartment at about five in the morning "singing". She goes from room to room just meowing in her high-pitched voice. I used to get up and check on her, to see that they had food and water, etc. but finally, I realized she doesn't want to play, that's just the best singing time, I guess! :p

I'm sure my other girls have strange habits too....I'll have to think on it a while. It's just Eepie's sticks out in my mind - seeing as how it used to wake me up every morning :D

Pippin - He rolls around on his back like a dog and keeps all 4's in the air, purrs like a freight train, barks like a dog when he is trying to find Barbie who is hiding from him (he gets mad), pees on dirty clothes, sits right in your line of walking and sits/lays on his stomach while he eats.

Barbie - She sleeps like the dead, isn't scared of anything, has to be in the bathroom if anyone is taking a bath and sit on the tub with you in it, plays with anything she can get her paws on, brings her toys to us, fetches and talks (meows very different distinct meows) a lot for a cat. I used to think she was trying to warn us of something, but over time realized she is just VERY vocal.

I love my kitties! I'd post a pic if I ever figure out how...

Cosmo hates humidifiers. If I have one going, he will bop it with his head until he tips it over.

Clover says "Mama" all the time (it sounds a bit more like Prraama, bit it's still the same!) and both her and Echo have designated each others bowls. Clover eats from teh bowl farthest from the corner, and Echo nearest. I had absolutely no hand in this! And if one starts eating from the other's, they both get agitated!
They both will run around screaming like maniacs through the house, which reminds me greatly of little five-year olds chasing each other aroudn the house.
Clover loves to come up to me and cuddle for only about ten-twenty minutes at a time before running off again, then ten minutes later jumps back on my chest and begins again.
Echo is a tunneler, under rugs, blankets, you name it, she can get under it somehow. She especially enjoys the rug in the bathroom and will follow you in when you take ashower, hide under the rug, and when you step out blind, you have to be really careful not to step on her. She attacks the rug more than people passing by, though.
And they both look at the shower like the most intriguing thing in the world until they get splashed, which is taken as a totally new experience each time.

After Smudge goes #2 he walks into the middle of the apartment and meows two or three times, like an announcement. Given that I was worried about his digestion for a while, I think he's just signaling "(whatever) o'clock and all is well!"

Taz can open the bathroom cabinet in the back bathroom (it's okay, there is nothing in there that would hurt him, we actually don't really use that bathroom on a daily basis). When Taz and I first moved in I kept yelling, "Who keeps leaving this cabinet open!?!?". Well, with my boyfriend and I being the only humans in the house, I eventually figured it out. LOL
He likes to hide in that cabinet when something is stressing him out.:)

My Puddy likes to lick the glue off envelopes. She ruined an entire package once. I was afraid she'd get sick but she didn't.

Creamsicle likes to tear apart cotton balls. But only the ones that have baby oil on them after I wipe the mascara from my eyes.

Boo Bear likes to open my kitchen cabinet and hide on the bottom shelf.

Yodie Yodie likes to sing at the top of her lungs as she running down the steps. Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow in rapid succession!

The only cat that acts dumb and strange is Tiger. Whenever my friends/neighbors come over, he will start to show off by climbing the front curtains. Then he will jump off and do a backflip. And he lands perfectly on all fours! My mom would throw Tiger (not litterally) outside in the pasture. Then he starts to bug my horse, Misty! What a bad boy!

 Cricket's nocturnal wanderings include knocking a store bought angelfood cake off the top of the fridge, thus cracking open the plastic cover. He ate a good chunk and didn't even get sick.

My cat Waz plays fetch. He will find a peice of paper, even if it's paper money LOL. Then he brings it to us and we throw it, he goes gets it and brings it back and drops it in front of us so we can thow it again. He will do this forever!

He also drinks water with his paw. Not always, but mostly this way, he dips his paw in the water bowl then licks it off.

Although I put fresh water down at least twice a day for my two furbabies, my youngest cat Tigger likes to drink out the toilet! We have to make sure the lid is closed at all times!!!

My eldest cat, Louie, likes to sit in the bath......without the water of course!!

With Giz... if it can be knocked off, gotten in, got into, opened, knocked over or messed with in any way.. she will do it. She loves tipping over the resivor to their self waterer to spill out all the water, even figured out how to do it so that she don't get wet! She is a hoot and is constantly looking for something to entertain herself with, everything is fair game! You can see the mischief in her eyes when she is bored and looking for something to get into...... I get up in the mornings and her toys are scattered all over the house where she has played all night.. I LOVE this crazy girl!
