Last Thursday I found a small bump, and now it's huge in just a few days, and I'm concerned it's another mast cell, and this one is bad. It's growing so fast, on her hind leg. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The vet told me it could be a histiocytoma, but those usually occur more often in younger dogs, but there is a good chance it's a recurrence of mast cell. Because of it's location we are just going to have it removed and sent for pathology. Even if it's not mast cell it's in a spot that will constantly get hit and irritated so we didn't do an aspirate today, since we are removing it anyway. Unfortunately she is going to be out of town for two weeks and cannot do the surgery until March 2nd. I am going to keep an eye on it and if it looked exponentially worse in that time frame I will take her to another vet to see about having it removed sooner. Please keep her in your prayers that it will be okay, I'd rather have her own vet do the surgery as I trust her and know she only wants the best for my dogs. Thanks again, it really helps to know other people are pulling for her too.

Now for the next two weeks I'm going to be a basket case and probably have nightmares about tumors!

Thank you for the well wishes and thoughts, I'm just rather a wreck at the moment. She didn't want me to leave her and tried to come with me when I left, so I already feel horrible about that, now shes in a cage alone in a chaotic place waiting on her blood work to be done for surgery this afternoon. I just really want her to come home now, it's emtpy and lonely without her. I just hope they can get it all, it's very aggressive. Thank you again.

Lacy just had a surgery in the beginning of Febuary,I must have drove the secratery Nuts i was calling so much,But in reality i think it is harder on us then it really is on them.

Call,Ask how your baby is,It made me feel better knowing how Lacy's progress came.

No haven't heard anything yet, she is scheudled at 2:15, so another 15 minutes here. I will call a little while after that to find out how she is doing. I dread each time the phone rings I check the number to make sure it's not them heh, because I only expect a call for trouble. I will update when I find out anything, thank you for asking=)

She's through the surgery but she's not coming home tonight like she was suposed to, she is bleeding too much and they aren't letting her come home. They aren't open tomorrow but they are going to call me and I might be able to go get her tomorrow if she's stable. I don't really know much yet.

The vet did call back at 7 p.m. She is stabilized now, she was bleeding pretty badly, but she's doing okay now and I can go get her tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. as long as she is still doing okay. Thanks for all of your prayers, it really does help. I feel better knowing she's stable right now but I want her better so I'm okay with her staying, it was just hard not knowing if she was okay and how bad she was bleeding. She had a vulvoplasty done at the same time and that's what was bleeding so much. She had a chronic infection in the skin folds due to arthritis and inability to squat all the way and excess skin in the area so we had to have some removed to get rid of the infection. I'll just be glad to have her home and okay.

Thank you everyone. We are home now. She is snoring next to me hehe. She is very swollen and sore in her bottom but that will get better with time. She is really happy to be home and so am I. Her tumor was not invasive into muscle so hopefully it will just be gone now. It's still being sent for pathology but that'll be some time before I hear. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. It really does help.

Thanks for asking =) I have just been so very busy with things in general and getting things ready for Soda I haven't posted as much as I'd like to but we got the "dog" room done now so I just have to put up the baby gates. She comes home 12 days.

Ginger is healing well. She really hasn't bothered the staples on her leg at all so I didn't need the No-Bite collar I got for her. Her vulvar pouch wound is still leaking very small amounts of blood from time to time but she's doing much better, much less swollen now so it should heal up well with time. I just hope it got rid of that nasty infection we couldn't get rid of. I sure love that dog, she's such a blessing.

Thanks so much for asking, I will let you guys know what I find out about her ugly growth on her leg. The vet said it didn't invade deep muscle tissue or bone so we are good there. It was mostly superficial. I go back on the 13th to talk to her and get the staples/stitches removed.
