Last night( 2-12-07) my mom and dad went for a walk down our road, and Tucker went with. Tucker boy almost always goes for walks, very healthy, and I'm so proud that for ten years old, he could trot a couple of miles.
I had stayed home inside, studying for a test at school the next day. My dad came inside, saying "Kelly, come here. Tucker's dead!"
A car had come around a corner, WAY too fast. My parents called "Tucker, Tucker, Tucker!" while waving their hands frantically in the air yelling at the speeding driver. The vehicle had plenty of time to stop, and had no excuse for not seeing Tucker boy, while my mom and dad were waving their arms and yelling. Tucker was hit by the vehicle and died instantly. The idiot driver didn't even attempt to slow down, they actually went faster! It hit Tuck at full speed, and the car went down the road a little ways, turned around and drove back the way it had come. The person didn't even stop to apologize, or ask if everyone was ok.

Tucker was 10 years old, and had just celebrated his birthday around the first of February.
He was an amazing dog, he would never leave your side. I would go out into the woods, and he would go with me, staying close. He also loved to swim, we would throw his orange dummy out in the water, I would gently hold onto him and he'd pull me back to shore.
Sitting around the yard, by a campfire, or going camping with him was the best in the world.
My mom always looked forward to gardening with him, he'd sit out with her for hours, laying patiently beside her, chewing on a stick. Tucker was very tolerant.
He looked forward to being brushed out in the spring and summer. I think he thought it was a massage, and he always looked so handsome when we were done.
He was very addicted to his tennis balls. When we'd throw them in the yard or into the woods, he would not stop until the tennis ball was safely in his mouth.
With his loud bark to scare away any danger to his family, we always felt secure, knowing he was our guard dog. We'll never know when people drive up now. He was our personal, furry doorbell.
Tucker was such a loving dog. I can't even begin to explain how much love he had for people. We love him right back, and always will. What an amazing animal. My family misses him so much, I don't think the tears will ever end. :(
Rest in peace dear Tucker. I know you'll make many friends at the Rainbow Bridge, old and new. We'll see you in another lifetime, sweetheart.
Thanks for reading this eveyone. Here's a couple pictures of him.

This made me cry even more, but last night Kona gave Tucker some good-bye kisses. I thought that was so sweet. I know the other two dogs were grieving, they were howling last night.
I have a quick question though, could anyone make a memorial signature for Tucker? Thanks again.

I am SO sorry....I cannot imagine that the driver would have the nerve to drive BACK the way they came - right by your mom and dad grieving over Tucker?

I hope they got the plate number - at least a charge of careless driving might be laid?

It won't bring back handsome, sweet Tucker - but that driver has some consequences to face!

HUGS to you and your family.

Oh my gosh, this is devestating news. I'm so sorry, ((hugs)) for you and your family. I don't go over to the dog side much but I did recognise Tucker and always thought what a friendly face he had.

Let's hope karma is in full swing for that 'person' who was driving the car.

RIP Tucker, your mum loved you very much and you'll be sorely missed.

I'm so sorry for such the tragic loss your family has been delt.

Even if the driver of the car is never found.... they'll get theirs... one way or another.

RIP Sweet Tucker, I pray your passing was quite and painless.... you are free now, running and playing with all the other PT pups that have passes before you.

Rest in Peace Handsome Man. :( Play hard at the bridge sweetheart.

How heartbreaking for all of you. I also have to hold back what I would like to say about the coldhearted person that did this. May they get exactly what they deserve for taking this precious soul before his time :( :(

I'm at a complete loss for words. I'm devastated by your horrific loss. The murderer will be judged when his time comes, that I have no doubt. According to a pet psychic, my RB Cody watches over all the dogs at the Bridge, so know that Tucker will be well taken care of. Sending you and your family hugs and condolences.

I am so sorry. It most of been hard to lose Tucker that way. Some people are just big idiots and don't even think! He should of slowed down instead of speding up. That just tells you that person doesn't think of anyone, but himself!
Tucker was a beautiful dog. He lived a long, happy life with you and your family. He is at the Rainbow Bridge now and is playing hard.

Good luck at the Rainbow Bridge, Tucker and play hard now :(

I'm so very sorry. Tucker sounds like a very special dog. I'm sorry it was such a horrible way to have to say goodbye. Those heartless people took something that you can never get back. I'm glad you have lots of good memories of him. Don't ever forget them. He'll be waiting for you at the RB. I hope you find comfort until you're reunited.

I'm so sorry Kelly. That really sucks, I just can't imagine anyone doing something like that. What a cruel person. What goes around, comes around.
Someday he will get his and he'll remember. May his conscience keep him awake nights.

Oh, my sympathies to you & your parents, that is a horrible thing to witness.

Handsome Tucker, be happy & healthy again at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry you had to lose him that way. I lost my Rosie to a speeding driver who never apologised either. It's been three years, and I still seeth when I think about that jerk. I hang on to the thought that what goes around comes around and someday he'll get his. Same goes for the moron that took Tucker's life.

Nothing I can say will bring dear Tucker back. But please know you and your family are in my thoughts. Having lost a dog in a similar situation (except the driver did stop and was hysterical) I can sympathize with you. :(

I am so sorry that some unfeeling person could do that to a living creature. I really do hope that your parents got their license plate number and reported them. I just can't imagine someone doing that, and then driving back past them! That's just shows how messed up some people are.

Rest easy Tucker boy.. play hard at the bridge.
