Josh has very long ear hairs, longer than even his look-a-like Jack, and longer than Pooky's!
The problem is Josh's ear hairs turn DOWNWARD instead of curling back. They are really close to poking him in the eye (although it hasn't yet) and I think it's still growing!
I'm trying to decide if I should wait and hope his hairs start curling back or if I should trim them before they poke his eyes. Unless someone knows of a way to get the darn things curled back, I've even thought of eyelash curlers! ROFL
I rarely trim ear hairs unless it's tickling a cats ears or causing it to scratch it's ears, and it doesn't seem to bother Josh. He is cute with long ear hairs, but it looks bizarre sticking out like this!!
SHOULD I....
1) TRIM IT?
2) LEAVE IT?
3) CURL IT? (suggestions how to do that)
Here are pix of how his ear hairs look.

I have NEVER seen anything like that! His ear hairs are sweet. unless they start bothering him, I'd just leave 'em and enjoy 'em!

I agree with Sandra, the more ear hair there is, the more you can enjoy it!
He could start a trend amongst the most fashion concious felines on PT! :)

If you believe the hairs are bothersome, feel free to trim them. But they are adorable. :)

That is what makes his so adoreable and I would leave them as they are. Looks like they can grow a lot more before they would be a problem to him. He is just to adoreable!

Unless Josh is bothered by it, my vote is let it be. He's a real cutie but the ear hair seems to add something to his appearance by making him even cuter.

How cute he looks, ear hair or not! :) I think he'd miss them if you trim - and you know, they're there for a reason.

Definitely leave them! God created him that way, and he's purrrfect! What a handsome boy he is!!

Leave it! That hair is there to protect his ears from critters and stuff that is not good to get into the ear canals. Besides, it looks just so darned cute!

He is absolutely adorable; the ear hair is part of his charm. My Puddy's ear hairs are even longer than that and I've never trimmed them. If you see that they're bothering him, of course you can trim them. But, if not, I'd leave them. It's the earmark of a special cat. (Sorry. LOL)

Oh gosh, how adorable Josh is. He has come a long way.
In this picture, there is just too much cuteness.

I agree with everyone else. Do not touch those adorable ear tufts. I find they are far enough away from his eyes to bother him. I must admit, that I've never seen ear tufts fall that way.
Too darn adorable. :D

He's so gorgeous. I'd also leave his cute ear tufts alone.:) How old is he now? My Ziggy Stardust will be looking for a Valentine's Day sweetheart next year and I think that he'd be purrfect for her.;) She's almost 7 1/2 months old. You can check her out in my thread here: Ziggy (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=121816).

Well, who could blame you! I'd want to keep them all too, they're adorable.
Those last pictures of Josh are so cute, and he's looking at the camera as if to say 'yes ladies, you know you want to kiss me!' hehe
He needs a white suit and a medallion and he's there!

Josh & his sisters are 4 1/2 months old now. All three kittens will be scheduled for spay/neuter as soon as they are old enough (6 mo. girls, 7mo. boy).
Your Ziggy is pretty, those odd eyes are neat! Her tail reminds me alot of Jack's, although a different color. Does Ziggy's tail seem to have a mind of it's own like Jack's? lol
