Hi, is Charlie still with us? If he is, immediately go out to the health food or pharmacy and buy him potassium citrate in a capsule. It is very inexpensive. Put some about 1/8 teaspoon inside a blueberry for him to eat twice a day. Then get on the internet and go to www.uriflow.com It is an herbal preparation for kidney and bladder stones. Use it the same way at the same time. It is safe. My vet looked at the ingredients. I use it on my girl bunny who had to have two surgeries on huge bladder stones last year. The best of luck to you and Charlie.

Oh Charlie. As I was reading your story I couldn't help but cry and cry. I once had a white albino rabbit just like you, her name was Baby and she did all the exact same things as you. Purring, licking, running to you when you come home and sitting limp in a chair or couch. She even use to sit like a teacup in the palm of my hand and I could walk aruond with her like that. You too would have been great great friends:) Anyways I'll create a thread to say the rest lol. don't want to blab too long in your very own thread.
Charlie if you're still with us, you should know how much your mommy loves you and that she will be so broken hearted when you leave. But know that she will also smile because she will know you are now at the Rainbow Bridge with perfect kidneys and a perfect bladder, everything would be perfectly new and you will run in the fields with all the other perfect bunnies:)
Thanks so much for sharing your story Charlie, I wish you the greatest time of your life for the time you have left with your mommy, and then a safe trip to the RB.
*Praying for you Charlie*

Hi sweet Charlie and your mom!
I just wanted to say that I also lost a (white) rabbit to renal failure this year. She was 6 years old. I was heartbroken. I know how awful it is to lose such a loved rabbit. Good luck in these difficult times. I hope he'll be with you a little while longer.

Kisses to you, Charlie. You sound like such a sweet sweet boy! I've never had a bunny before, but my 17-yr. old cat experienced renal failure, so I know how your mama feels. Your story brought tears to my eyes, and it also made me laugh - you look so very precious in your blue sweater! Enjoy all the cuddles, kissies, and rubs, hopefully for a long time yet.

Darling Charlie, your story makes me want to reach through the computer and give you hugs and kisses, to make it all better. I'm sure your guardian is lavishing lots of affection upon you, and insuring that you receive the best medical care available to help you maintain a quality of life so deserving of such a loving bunny. :) Blessings to you, Charlie, our most precious POTD, and to your devoted guardian.

Oh Charlie, precious bunny boy. I too am in tears after reading your life's story, your Mommy's loving words, and I am hoping and praying with all of my might for a miracle, a miracle for you and for your wonderful Mommy. I can't imagine a more loving and loyal best friend than you sweetheart, human or furry. You are the bravest little boy with the most beautiful spirit and your Mom, the most devoted human a furkid could ever hope for. How brave you both have been, facing all of your many challenges so courgeously. I wish I could pick you up and cover you with kisses but since I can't I hope your Mom can give you a few extra for me. Charlie, we are so happy to honor you today. You are worthy not only of the title Pet of the Day, you are a Pet of a Lifetime.
Love to you and your dear Mommy, precious Charlie. We are all praying for you.

Dear Charlie and family,
Your story touched my heart so deeply. How much you are loved sweet Charlie and how deserving. I will never forget your sweet face and story. I too have a bunny 9/5/06 Benny. When I read about you Charlie I ran upstairs and held and kissed my Benny. He was confused and wanted to know what was the matter, why was mom leaking tears all over him. I held him and told Benny all about you dear Charlie. Please know Charlie that you will always live in my heart. Whenever I pet benny or give him a treat I will also think of you. Much Love, Benny & Monica

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers. Charlie went to the rainbow bridge yesterday (April 22). I had to have him put to sleep. His brave soul fought for his life but his body couldn't fight the kidney failure and the effects of the pain killler any longer.
He was by far the most loving little soul I'd ever met. I was so lucky to have found him. He gave me such joy, not to mention millions of bunny kisses to show me he loved me too.
I wish his pts experience would have been less painful. I wasn't impressed with the extremely rough procedure that it turned out to be.
At least now, he doesn't have to be force fed, no more subqutaneous fluids, no more medication or painkiller that made him weak, uncoordinated and unable to walk. He doesn't hurt anymore.
One final goodbye my sweet angel boy. I hope so much I see you again Charlie. Love mom.

Oh, sweet Charlie . . . I'm so sorry to read of your passing . . . :( . . . you put up a valiant and courageous fight. Your loving guardian did everything possible and knew when it was time to let you go . . . never an easy decision to make. I wish you lots of clover and friends to romp with at Rainbow Bridge . . . rest in peace precious, beloved Charlie.

Rest in peace, sweet boy. I bet the clover and the parsley up there at the Rainbow Bridge are extra tasty, and now you are n longer in pain. You look for a black lop-earred girl, her name is Sophie, she's been there a while, so probably knows all the good spots up there for bunnies.

I was thinking of Charlie and had to come search again for some word of him.
So sorry to hear of his passing. He certainly sounded like the sweetest bunny.
I'm glad he had such a good home.
I'm going home now and hug my bunny. :(
