I just have a quick question. Me and my grandma really want to know what breed Mickey is. The vet said Mickey is a Maine Coon, but Mickey is white with a little bit of gray on his forehead and tail. I thought Maine Coons only come in the color brown.

Can a Maine Coon come in the color white with a little bit of gray???
Please help!

;) Oh yes they are like most breeds which colors can vary.. If you will look at my siggy for KiKi she is Maine Coon & is black with white.. Now keep in mind Norweigen Forest are also very close to the same as Main Coon..

Maine Coon's can come in a variety of colors, although for whatever reason the tabby ones seem to be the most common.

I have often believed that Jack was part Maine Coon, however must be a very small amount because Josh looks just like him, except for 2 small gray splotches on his head. Josh is pure barn cat, his mother was a tabby I believe, dunno about his dad, and his sisters are both torties. Go figure.

These sites have some pix of different colored Maine Coon's, however I dissagree with the ACFA's pix of the white Maine Coon, it doesn't appear to look like the usual standard I see at most cat shows.

Maine Coons do come in many colors and as the owner of two, they are absolutely wonderful cats. Enjoy your furbaby.

I had two maine coons- and although mostly tabby in color- one had alot of white on the face and chest. I believe they do come in other colors- as both cats were even registered from an excellent breeder. The lady also had several of different colors and did cat shows as well. .. I agree tabby is more the common color- but it must be fine..
