Shortie has a "ahem" little problem. It seems that she found a piece of dental floss that she was very fond of and decided to eat it. She now has a piece coming out of her buttski.
So, off to the vet she went. I let it go for 24 hours to see if maybe she'd pass it on her own, but she didn't. :(
The vet is keeping her overnight and is going to take an x-ray to see if it's affected her intestines. He said she doesn't seem to be in any pain. He's also going to give her a laxitive to "help" her along. If she doesn't pass it on her own, she'll have to have surgery.
HELP!!! Please say a prayer for my little Shortie.

Oh boy. Hopefully, the laxative will make everything "go smoothly". Prayers going up.

We went thru this a number of years ago with Zingo. He ate about 12 inches of goosgrain (sp) ribbon...he finally...ahem, gave it back. They put it in a ziploc and kept trying to give it back to us! Yuck!
Sending well wishes Shortie's way! Come on Shortie! Give it back!

Donna, I'm so sorry to hear this.:( Hopefully it'll pass on it's own so she won't need surgery. Lots of prayers and positive thoughts are being sent her way.

Shortie is fine. About 3 hours after the vet gave her an enema, she passed it. He was worried about there being more in there. I assured him that was it. She's fine. She was a little indignant that her buttski was wet from being cleaned up, but was back to her old self the minute she got home.
PT prayers DO work wonders! Thanks everyone!

Whew, good to know! Yes, Shortie, vets do the most horribly undignified things, don't they? Miss Hoppy thinks so, too.
