Two items of interest from the latest issue of Cat Fancy Magazine. (March 2007 arrive in today's mail.)
1. Project Bay Cat - feral cat colony in Forest City, northern California. The first officially managed cat colony of its kind in the world.

New Spay / Neuter and Medical Equipment Grants Available.
Up to $200,000 for 2 years, to U S counties with live animal release rates of 40 percent or less. Also to counties where 60 percent or more of total dog and cat population is euthanized. Available to U S adoption - guarantee shelters that employ at least one full-time veterinarian.
