Oh meowmie is an evil beast, they were clearancing collars and she got new collars for everyone yesterday for a $1.

Happily, meowmie paid her $1 (less the employee discount.... even better :D) and traveled home dreaming of how handsome and pretty her kitties were going to be.

Allen roared at the intrusion around his neck, but quickly got over it.

Pouncer struggled and acted like her was being hog tied. He broke out of the collar ten seconds later. I resumed the wrestling match and reapplied the collar. It was off in a record 5 seconds.

Harry immediately ate the bell (which meowmie "fished" outta his mouth) and chewed the collar in half.

Abby acted like she was mortally wounded and hid under the bed. Meowmie had to dig her out to remove the horrendous device from her neck. Meowmie was given the cold shoulder all afternoon

Flutter pranced around showing hers off :)

So.... what I have are 3 collars sitting on my desk. One collar is chewed beyond recognition, another is slightly chewed (without bell), and one in mint condition (to be backup for Flutter I guess :o )

Sigh. Meowmie was so excited to have her guys wearing collars again (thinking in advance for when Cam starts walking and leaving doors open to the big wide world) Guess I'm just gonna have to make sure

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha h ha!! Dont you just love how they react to these things!! Loki is my only kitty so far that has tolerated a collar, and i appreciate, cause his has a bell as well, and it helps figure out what he is up to, as well as knowing when he is getting close to an open door!! Sorry they werent as appreciative as you would have liked. Tis the life of a kitty!:D

No collars in our house. All kitties are microchipped.

Too funny :D All of mine happily wear their collars (thank goodness). I like to look for new collars for the crew....I like to try to get collars that match their purrsonalities. All the boys name tags are bluw bowties and all the girls name tags are a hot pink heart, then their collars are different for each one.

Same here. Becky thinks of her red collar as if it's a tiara.

When my hubby removes it to brush her and then forgets to put it right back on, she'll jump on the table, grab it, drag it to a chair and sit on it...so her evil sister can't get it.

Abby, of course, would assume a collar is punishment.

Atleast Flutter likes her's and Allen is ok with his.I could have been worse you could have 5 collarless cat.
Zippy and Pumpkin both wear collars with out a problem.

HAHAHAHA I can picture all this SO well! Plus the emotional roller coaster from the happy buyer to the "oh no it's not working" reality check!

My cats do well wearing their collars. I was keeping the collars on all the time, even though they are indoor cats, because we were travelling so much. After about 5 months of this, I noticed that Ruffles developed a bare spot all around her neck under the collar. Now all the collars are off and in the closet.

Mine are all color coded too! And the ID tags are different, trying to reflect their personalities a little bit.

Haha, I can relate to that too, Jack is fine but Sunny!
Oh my god you'd think we were cutting her head off the fuss she makes, and she pushes her neck down to make herself fat so it doesn't fit then every now and then we have to try and tighten it to make sure it's on properly and not too loose, then she precedes to ignore us for the rest of the day giving us filthy looks of disgust!
Both Jack & Sunny are microchipped but I wanted them to have collars so that people in the street knew they had homes and won't feed them. Though Sunny doesn't go outside the back garden, Jack does wander around the cul- de-sac in the summe, so it's best he has one.
I've ordered Jack a ID tag too just in case. I want to be sure he's known and people know him.
You never know he's so friendly a stranger could pick him up and take him and what's worse is he'd probably let them too!

The Found Cats hate collars too, as I once tried the Ova Collars on them, and they ruined them at 20 dollars apiece.
Its too bad as I bet they would have looked swanky with them on.

At least you have one cat that likes collars.:)

Even though all of mine are also microchipped I wanted them to also wear collars. Everyone wears one except for Sunny. Sunny became so upset and stressed out that he became sick.:( I didn't realize that this was the cause until I began to think what had changed to possibly stress him out. I removed the collar and he's been fine ever since. That was one very expensive collar.

Pearl and Starr have gone through several collars so far. Now they're wearing the leather safety collars and Ziggy is wearing a vinyl one. These are much stronger than the fabric ones so they're kitten proof.:)
