:) Skye does bark a lot...although I don't mind it whatsoever, my mom does. She barks when she's excited. She dosen't bark at people walking by, or in her crate, but if I come home, if we're going to "bed" (heading to my room for the night), if I'm going to take her for a walk, and if she's wrestling with the other dogs.

She gets very upset if I am outside without her (out front), or if I take another dog on a walk besides her. Makes it difficult if my mom is home with her. Any suggestions? Saying "no" works for a second but then she'll keep doing it.
Like I said, I really don't mind her barking, she's a dog...but for the sake of my mom.

It sounds like she mostly barks when she's excited, right? For me, I tried something that I had heard about, but never thought it would work. And then it did work! I made barking a command, taught my collie to speak when I told him to. Once he did that (he learned very quickly), I taught him the command, "Quiet". I would have him in a teaching situation, and just hold my hand up like 'stop' in front of his face and say "Quiet" and the moment he stops, and he probably will because you have your hand in his face, give him a little treat immediately. My dog learned it in just minutes and now he knows to stop. And I still reward once in a while. There are more instructions on http://loveyourdog.com/tricks.html. Good luck!

But how will that work when she is out walking another dog?
