I'm asking on behalf of a friend of mine, Claudia. She has a five year old tux girl, Cleo, who was diagnosed with psychogenic alopecia, which means she's licking off her hair from her belly and legs; and the skin is already bleeding and sore. To prevent further damage, she's constantly wearing an Elizabethan collar, but she's licking the plastic also. It's a form of autoagressive behaviour and she's doing this as a stress relief, and the attacks go for hours. Nothing can distract her from doing that.

I should add that I haven't met Cleo in person yet, but according to Claudia, she tried almost everything possible to help her. Cleo, who has always been sort of aggressive, started hurting herself when Claudia's apartment got a new floor (laminate) in 2005. She couldn't deal with the changes. Also, she's extremely focussed on Claudia and always wants her attention. It's problematic for her to have visitors: One of Claudia's friends has already suggested to put her to sleep when he saw her behaving like that.

Claudia is working with a very good alternative practitioner which seems to help a bit, and Cleo's on some sort of "kitty prozac" also, but the prognosis is that she can never be cured, and could never live without the e-collar.

Anyway, to make a long story short...

I was wondering if a psychic may be able to help in such a case, at least to find out why Cleo is acting so extreme. I know some people here have experiences with readings, and I'd just like to learn more about the way it works, about the effects, and - last but not least - the costs.

I think Claudia will be grateful for any advice or help she can get because she doesn't want to give up on Cleo. Please post your experiences here or pm me if you want.

Thanks,
Kirsten

HI Kirsten!!
We had a wonderful communicator, Kate Reilly. Unfortunately, she now only "speaks" with horses!!! Every communicator has a different way of " speaking." Kate wanted to know the age, colour, sex. neutered, ...of the cat., and you would give her a list of questions to ask the cat. Karen, who we have used to help us with a few of the cats, converses with them and you while on the phone. Where does your friend live????

I have never had a reading from this lady (or any other psychic), but several friends swear by her: http://www.donnadoolittle.com/

A friend's cat was missing. She had a reading with Donna and asked where else she should search. Donna said that Morganna (the cat) was exploring around the stream that ran through the property but that she was okay and not ready to come in from her adventure. Donna said that Morganna was hiding whenever she came close but that she would come home in A MONTH  . Sharon kept searching shelters and the property, but never saw Morganna. A little less than a month later, Morganna came to the back door, meowed to come in curled up by the fire.

Same friend, same cat ~ Years before, Morganna had to have part of her leg amputated because of cancer. My friend asked Donna to talk to Morganna to ask her how she was doing. Morganna said that she was fine and dandy but that the cancer was going to come back. Morganna also said that she would probably live for another 2 years. Despite checkups every 6 months, the cancer did come back. Treatment did not help. :( Rather than more, painful surgeries and amputations, Morganna was put to sleep. It was just a little less than 2 years from the reading.

Edited to add a link to a photo of Morgana. http://www.hemlockcards.com/images/Morganna_on_stumpCrp2.jpg

I speak with Brenda Cunliffe at least one every other month. Here is her website.

Brenda Cunliffe Communication is Key (http://www.commiskey.biz/faq.htm)

She can do a reading via email if needed.

Has your friend tried smearing the fur with apple bitter? Works with horses and dogs. I'd give it a try.

Thank you very much for your replies, and for the links. I will forward them to my friend.

Sandra, my friend lives in Leipzig, Germany, so I guess it would only work if the psychic/communicator would do readings via email / telephone. I know some of them do. A session in which they meet the cat in person would be difficult, unless we find someone here in Germany. I guess there are some, but I don't know much about their reputations, etc.

kuhio98, that's an amazing story about Morganna. Reminds me a lot of the things Amanda Kinkade describes in her book!

Mike001, bitter apple is not available over here, but I think Claudia tried other things with a bad taste, and it didn't help. When Cleo's in the mood to chew her fur off, she's doing it no matter what! :(

efrusy @ yahoo.com - Nancy Efrusy

She works from a photo, and her prices are resonable. She lives in the USA.

Lots of folks here on PT have used her, with great results.

Sorry, it took me a bit to find her email address!
