Carl, that is so incredibly nice of you to do this. I just wish we had the money to donate...we are still paying the $1000 bill for Daisy's surgery. Please know that we are terribly disappointed that we can't help, but Jackie, Don, Perry, and Daisy are in our thoughts and prayers.

I wish I could take the credit, but, I talked to a lady in CA. who does web designs, who set the thing up! I am not that talented on these things! And, just remember, you have given the most important thing already! Your love, care, & even more important, your prayers!!!

Every time I click on read Perry and Daisy's story I get the iexplore message that says this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down and there was an internal error.

here ... I'd like to suggest that Don and Jackie put a claim for their vet bill against the neighbor's (pitbull owner) homeowner's insurance policy, if they have one. A friend's dalmation was attacked by her neighbor's shepherd/lab mix and needed surgery to repair the torn muscle & skin. The neighbor's homeowner policy reimbursed my friend for the vet bill. I urge you to check into this, it's the least they can do.

I was going to mention the homeowner's plan as well, did you check that out?

Unfortunately the person in the house is a Section 8 renter, however we did get the name of the people who own the house and our daughter was a 'Claims Adjuster' for 25 years and is persuing that end. They live in Salt Lake City, but they did give her the name of the Insurance Company. She has given them all documents including pictures taken by the Vet at admission, Vet bills, Pictures here, Pictures of the Pitbull, of our fence, etc. etc.

They are sort of trying to go around it by saying the two dogs were personal property and in that case would pay whatever the dogs are worth.

We have paid the Vet bills to date between our kids and ourselves, my main concern is they not continue living there with three pitbulls. Especially knowing that one is really vicious and ready to attack any dog or person for that matter.

We gave all of the information and copies of everything to Animal Control and Don talked to them last night and they said they are now out of it as they have turned it over to the District Attorney.
They have no idea what will happen and neither do we.

My main concern is not having these people living next to us with three pitbulls, and yes I have contacted the media, City Councilmen, Mayor, City Attorney, Our Councilman, the Newspaper and haven't heard from any of them yet. We did an interview on TV, but felt they just fluffed over it and said the man was going to pay - and he doesn't even have enough to feed his dogs and give them water.

Yes, we have done everything we can think of, and everything that everyone has suggested to us, it's very frustrating at this point and truly all I care about is that Daisy and Perry are doing well and hopefully will do so in the future.

Thanks for your concern.
Jackie

THAT STINKS! I can't understand it... our local news always covers PB attacks with ferocity. Maybe cause it's an attack on humans but what the hell's the difference??? What does it take to keep those dogs under control and the neighborhood safe??? I'm not blaming the dogs, but at this point, they should not be in that environment .I simply can't believe that NOBODY has been in touch with you, that's disgraceful   You pay taxes , you're model citizens...and you're being ignored...If I lived closer, I'd be marching in front of city hall with my dog lovin pack of friends!! ARGH! :mad:And let's not forget the fact you can't feel safe in your OWN BACK YARD!!!

Actually, K9, they WERE kids!!! I do not believe any 2 legged child could be more cared for or loved that Perry & Daisy are! To them, they ARE their children!!
As, I'm sure, most everyone else in here feels! I know mine are!
