If anyone out there is reading this we lost our 11 1/2 year old dalmation on 12/28. We are offering a reward for any information. He was outside my fathers house in Middlebury CT around 7:30 p.m. for 10 mts. We have looked everywhere. Anyone out there who can help, I will send his picture along.

You need to post the picture on telephone poles in the area. Also take copies to ALL vets in the area. (Sometimes people turn in found animals to vets; sometimes they take the animal in claiming it is theirs. ALL vets are used to getting lost pet notices.) And the animal control / city shelter. Many grocery stores have community bulletin boards; post on those too. Ask at local convenience stores for permission to post in their front windows, on or right next to the entry door.
Make the photo and phone number large enough for people to read from their car for the ones on the telephone poles. At the nearest intersections, post on all 4 corners. Otherwise, post on every 3rd pole.
If there is a school in the area, post near the school; kids make great look out scouts!!!! (School starts in many areas on Tuesday.)
Oh, and it can't hurt to take a poster to the local police station.
I am so sorry you lost your pet. I pray you find him (her?) safe, and very quickly.

Please post his photo on every sign imaginable.
Visit local shelters every 2-3 days. Call an report his missing to every vet in the area. Even better, post a sign at every vet.
Make campaign-sized signs with his picture and post them along roads.
Go door to door with your sign.
Put your signs on mailboxes/door steps.
My dog Kiara was missing for 5 days, we were able to track her down because a guy saw our signs and spotted her. Never give up.
A few tips for the signs -

NEEDS MEDICATION
$$$REWARD$$$
<phone number>
Even if he does not need medication, put that on there because it may keep someone from keeping him if he is sick, and they'd want to return him to you.
I wish you a lot of luck. I am so sorry. We went thru the same pain and it is horrible.

Don't forget to place your ads at the local pet stores as well.
