I didn't know piggies like the snow.

Congratulations to you precious Luna!:) Oh, be still my piggie loving heart! Me and my wheeker girl Moon were thrilled to see as your featured Pet of the Day!:D What a sweetie you are and I'll just bet you were the best of moms! So sorry to hear of the passing of your husband Starkey:( But I have no fears that your wanting for love and attention!; what a caring and devoted guardian you have!
And didn't you too cute in your little pigloo!:D But you know, piggies are like Goldie Locks, very sensitive to temperature extremes...so not too hold and not too cold and maybe stay safe and warm indoors 'til Springtime!:) Thanks for the big smiles, sweetheart! All my love to you with gentle cuddles and wheeks and purrrs from my girl Moon!:) Hope you're enjoying a very happy and funfilled "top pet" celebration!:)

I never would have thought a piggie would enjoy being out in the snow, but look at how cute and sweet you look, Luna, peering out from your little snow fort! I hope you don't catch the sniffles, but I guess your fur keeps you nice and warm . . . so adorable are you, precious Luna, our darling little POTD! :)

I strongly caution people against putting piggies in the snow. When there were wild guinea pigs in South America, they could no doubt withstand extremes in temperatures. However, the domesticated guinea pig cannot tolerate very cold temperatures. Introducing your guinea pig to snow could also be introducing them to pneumonia. Guinea pigs are very prone to respiratory problems, so keeping them indoors warm and safe is the best thing you can do for them! :)
