For about a month, we have noticed that one of our cat's, Saki, has had pad problems. Her pads are very dry and they do crack evey now and then, but this time has been the worst.
Her one back paw's pad, is protruding out of the skin that is usually around the pad. It has been like this for about a month, we just thought it would heal up like the others, but it just looks worst now; the hair on the back of that leg, by her pad, it disappearing.
Any suggestions??

also if you can put pics of her foot on here, maybe I can help but I'd have to see it first! :)

ok, thanks...
I find her right now, but when she comes home, I'll be sure to put some Neosporin on her pad.

To the vet...please! It sounds like it could be serious. Maybe just ringworm, or could be a tumour.
PLEASE get her checked out, and keep us posted!

I doubt if it's a good idea to let a cat go outside when they have an open wound. It may not be healing because it is infected and going outside will make that much worse. Is there swelling around the pad? Does she have a temperature? Is her appetite normal? Is she hiding or acting differently? Is there a reason why you can't take her to the vet?
