Oh, now I'm crying again!!!! How wonderful to see Miss Daisy and Perry on their feet, but how awful to see what they have had to go through!!! Oh Don and Jackie, what a terrible thing, and yet how thrilling that your babies are pulling through!!
As far as I'm concerned, these two are the latest heroes in the war on terrorism!!!!
OH, bless their little hearts. Logan, you are so right - it is very hard to see these pictures - but yet, to be able to see them at all is a miracle. Again, Dear God, thank you!!
Logan, thanks for taking the time to post these, I know it is very late for you on the east coast.
Jackie and Don, we are all just so very very grateful they will be alright.
You never, ever, should have had to go through this!

Logan, Altho the pics are sad, they are so uplifting for everyone!! Just to see them alive & standing.....................wonderful!!! I don't care what anyone says>> Perry is MY hero!!!!

It breaks my heart to see them, all wounded and sad, but I am so greatful that they are both doing OK and on the mend. It was a miracle that they survived pit bull attacks and they are both standing up and holding their own.
Although the pics made me cry a lot, I am also happy that they are still with us to share their precious lives with their dear, dear family.
Lots of love is still headed your way, Jackie and Don. Lots and lots of love.

Thank you for posting the pictures Logan. They are wonderful to see and they make my heart sing with Praise to God for hearing and answering all of our prayers! Perry is a true miracle!!
Thank you Father for touching these two precious pups and healing them. We continue to pray for your hand to continue to bless them and heal them. May this unfortunate incident be used for your glory somehow. In Jesus name, Amen.
Carl and Logan, I feel the same way, "What a blessing" to see these precious ones up and alert. With each passing day they are getting stronger and better. Many , many prayers continue for Jackie, Don , Perry, and Miss Daisy! I too cry .......again......when I see these pictures, but it is more tears of "happiness" that these babies are going to be OK, and be back home with two of the most wonderful people, thier mom and dad, Jackie and Don .
Love to you all,

Jackie posted, in message 65, a couple of the pictures posted above, but also one of the fence and one of the culprit. I just took a look at the the picture of the fence and the dog. That was one determined dog to get through that thick fence and break the heavy chain he had on. He definately had the intent to kill to do all that. I think at the very LEAST it's owner should pay all vet bills and get rid of that dog. I agree with everyone...what if next time it's a child? And you can bet there will be a next time unless something is done.
The pictures of Perry and Daisy made me cry and mad that someone elses animal could get by with doing that. Prayers still on the way for sweet Daisy and Perry.

Thank you Logan for posting Daisy & Perry's pictures.
It does hurt to see them looking so beat up, but Thank
God they are alive & getting stronger all the time.
I also looked at the picture of the attacker. I guess I
thought he would look like a evil monster, but he's just
a dog. A very ill-treated dog. A CHAINED dog becomes a
vicious dog . Looks like he chewed right through the back
side of the fence. These neighbors should lose all their dogs.

I'm so sorry I didn't get to see this thread before now. Everyone is right, the pics are so sad, but it's so great to see that they are going to be ok and both of them be home soon. Keep getting the rest you both need and take care.
Hugs and Kisses from Anna, Angus & Roxey
Those pictures just break my heart, but you can see the strength shining through from those two beautiful dogs. Before long, this will be a distant memory. Get well soon Daisy and Perry!!!!!!
Seeing that chain the pit is on pains me. I am furious at the 'owner' of the pits. They turned beautiful pits into monsters. The neighbors should have an awful punishment

Please, can someone figure out how to bring them over here?
It's so good to see perky ears on the pups again.
I will try! There are 2 more But I haven't figured out the system yet. So, guess I'll have to do this 2 more times!

Just wanted to let everybody know that Daisy is doing better today, she is quite alert, awake more, we did give her a tiny bit of food, but she tends to spit it out, I am giving her lots of water with the help of a dropper and she seems much more herself right now. When I go to touch and kiss her paw she pulls it away, always the independent. lol Oh and she is finally peeing.
Perry is really doing well, he is so strong, we are letting him a little loose to walk around, he wants to sit on Don's lap a lot, which of course Don loves, and he likes to sit with me on the couch. He is eating well, going to the bathroom etc. They are both sleeping up in our room.
Believe it or not the mailman came and made some noise and they barked at him, that was music to my ears. Just thought I'd let you know we are doing well, Daisy goes in tomorrow to have her pain patch removed, we have been quiet and getting some much needed rest.
Thank you all again.
I just don't know how to put pictures on here so will put them on For the Love of Dogs if you want to see them or maybe someone can transfer them, best wishes to all.
Jackie
Jackie, Have refused to turn puter off until I heard something about those littlest heros! Am so happy that Daisy is getting some fluids & is peeing! Thanks for taking the time out of what I know is a busy schedule to let everyone know. We all, are waiting for any crumb of information on them! You know, I bet those 2 are about the most famous babies ariound now!!! & they deserve the fame!! A kiss please, from Duchess & Whiskey to both of them!

Hey Carl, let me give you the instructions for posting pics.
You have to either post them on a website or in a public album. The one that seems to be working right now is www.shutterfly.com.
Once you get the pictures in an album there, right click on the individual picture, then click on properties. You will want to copy the URL address, then come to Pet Talk, and in your reply or new posting, click IMG (the little box above), and paste your URL address there. When you send your message, the picture will show up.
I hate that I will be gone after today, and can't post them for you. I have a shutterfly album now. But it is fairly easy to open your own.
Thanks for being here. It is a pleasure to have you as one of our newest members. :)

Things are really looking up now. Our son and Colleen took me to the urgent care last night at Kaiser, was not feeling very good, but it turned out just nerves, nerves, nerves, I had bypass surgery a few years back and thought I had a problem, but nerves, you can get over.
Anyway the best part is that when we got home, both pups were so excited to see Frank and Colleen, Perry was wiggling, wiggling and this I can't believe, Daisy was excited and on her pillow, well she got up and walked on three legs up to them, and then went up three steps to our bedroom where she sleeps, as a Momma I was trying to catch her I was so afraid she would hurt herself.
She knew it was 9 and time for bed and she was going up there all by herself. Daisy goes to have her pain patch removed today, I hope being there don't regress her.
Anyway things are looking good and I am so relieved, those prayers sure did the job and thank you all again for all the love and prayers that saved our little babies.

Jackie, you don't know how that makes me smile. I'm so pleased that they are both progressing so well. Dogs are amazingly resilient animals.
As for you, girl, you better take it easy, we don't want to have to start a prayer line for you to get better. Seriously, I'm glad it was "only" nerves. Those little buggers can cause some real problems can't they?
Wonderful news Jackie,
I am glad all 3 of you will be fine.
You need to take good care of yourself too.
Hopefully with Perry and Daisy doing so much better,
some of your stress will be relieved.

I prescribe lots of doggie kisses, cuddles, and fun for all of you. Please note; I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV, but still feel qualified in issuing this prescription. I know how nerves can tear you up. Please start your prescription by giving the wee ones a gentle kiss on the head from me.:D :D

Jackie,
Thank You for the update. I'm happy to hear that Perry
and Daisy are doing some of the normal things again.
Daisy will not have to stay at the vets today, will she?
If their pain can be managed at home, that's where most
of the healing will take place, with you & Don. Please take
care of youself too. I'll continue to pray hard for all of you.
