I feel like mojitos today.....

3 tbs.Sugar
Mint leaves
1.5 oz. Rum
Ice and lime

Crush mint leaves and sugar in glass
Add rum, sliced lime and ice.

You know, I'm really not sure what I want for Christmas. I could use about $200,000 so I pay off my mortgage and have some savings. I could use a new car. I could use a huge travel fund. But those are all selfish desires. I think what I would like most is for everyone to just get along. It seems that people nitpick too much about things that won't matter 50 yrs from now. Santa, can't we all just hug one another and help each other out? Yeah, that's what I really want.

Just thought I'd stop by to see everyone. It's been along time since I've been at Thursdays. How about a nice 151 Rum with a splash of eggnog and a pinch of nutmeg.

Well hey there Mr. Man in a red suit. How about you and me sitting by the fire to discuss my wish list?? *wink, wink, nod, nod*

Someone just sent me this recipe and I figured Thursday's would be the perfect crowd to try it out on:

Christmas Tequila Cookies

1 cup dark brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups dried fruit (dried cranberries or raisins)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts or pecans
2 cups all purpose flour
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequila (silver or gold, as desired)

First, sample the Cuervo to check quality.

Take a large bowl. Check the Cuervo to be sure it is of the highest quality.

Pour another 4 ounces in a measuring cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer.

Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.

Add one teaspoon sugar. Beat again.

At this point, it is best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK. Try
another 4 ounces, just in case.

Turn off the mixerer thingy. Break two leggs and add to the bowl
and chuck in the cup of dried fruit, picking the frigging fruit off the floor.

Mix on the turner. If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers, just pry it loose with a screwdriver.

Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity. Next, sift 2 cups of salt or something. Check the Jose Cuervo.

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table. Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink. Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven. Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over. Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

Of course that counts! I haven't been too "present" as my mind is tied up with holiday plans - what to buy for whom, how much can I spend, etc. I dropped a bundle at the Lush store last night - all my Secret Santa gifts for the office are done. I bought so much there, I qualified for their free gift - a HUGE box full of wonderful Lush soaps, gels and bath bombs. I just might keep it for myself, or share it with the peeps here at Thursday's. I'm sure Mario would LOVE a Lush bubble bath! :D No, Mario, don't throw the bath bombs at Orc! :eek:

A cuppa coffee with some peppermint whipped cream would sure hit the spot this morning. Happy shopping everyone and please don't be mauled at the malls! :D
