:( My 2 yr old chihahua Daisy on Dec. 6 chased a car and hit the tire. Thank God it wasn't worst. The vet said all she can do if it is a problem is to cut it off. We hate to see this happen but if it's better for her we will do it. Her world now seems cruised. She walks around the house alot or lays down. We have her sister Bella that likes to play with her and she doesn't want to play at this time. I hope it changes. Daisy is not the same dog since this happened. She use to ask to go outside. Now she goes right by the door and runs right back in. She doesn't act the same I hope she returns to normal soon. Daisy is also a dog that is a drama queen. When she got fixed it took her awhile to get back to normal. And if she needs surgery she will be cruised again.

I am sure she had no clue something outside could hurt her- and you are right- that was a terrible thing to happen, but it sure could have been ALOT worse!
Right now- her tail still hurts her, and reminds her she got hurt " out there". When her tail is not hurting her, it will improve if you keep it positive. Remember to take it slow. Maybe a few little treats ( I like cheerios as they do not fill up on them, and its a quick treat) but keep in mind- this event did scare her, and she was very lucky to say the least.
