I'm beginning a bit more nevous as to what the doctor will say about my knee on thursday. I don't know if it means another surgery or a cortizone shot. I'm beginning to be concerned. Maybe the warranty on my knee ran out!

David- try to assume the positive.. Either way would fix the problem too. I know its hard ( I am going through a medical problem too) but try.. Its what we have to hold on to.. ( read prayer request aborted procedure and you will see why I say that..)

Oh David... It seems like we're all getting knee surgeries for Christmas! Just stay calm and positive, I'm sure the doctor will know what's the best for your knee.
Hope you get it fixed as soon as posible!

Maybe it just needs a little oil! ;)
Seriously, I hope all turns out well.

David, I hope you just need "the Oil Can" ;)

I'll be sure to Keep YOU in my Prayers tonite. (Gosh, you're making my knee hurt now) :D

I'm thinking physical therapy or Cortisone injection

NOT SURGURY!!!( has oil can ready)

Best of luck at the doctor tomorrow, David. I know exactly how you feel. The "wait and see" thing is just plain torture. I can't wait to hear the outcome. :)

Its possible they may just need to give you a SynVisc injection which is a synthetic version of the synovial fluid in our joints. My dad had them in both knees and its made a huge difference in his.
I would highly doubt the warranty ran out - ;) My dad had a traumatic injury back in 1992 - he and a tow motor went head to head and the tow motor won and he ended up with a new knee. He was in an immobilizer for 12 weeks BEFORE surgery (gotta love workers comp) so he wasn't able to bend his knee before surgery so even today he only has less than a 90 degree bend in his knee. It hurts still - and he hasn't been gentle on it - at all
Farming, driving semis, working in a factory, then at a grain elevator which is very physical, climbing up and down silos (where he also got caught up in an auger but that's for another time ;)) and snowmobiling. He retired from the factory in 1995, had a knee revision in 2004. Which is when they went in and took out the padding that is b/n the metal pieces and replaced it with new. Did I mention that with the exception of the factory work and getting caught in the auger he has done all of that in 2006 alone. He's 62 years old and in another thread in General - he had major back surgery 10 days ago.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you David that it is an easy fix - Knee pain is no fun, I have had 2 surgeries myself. When your knees hurt (or your feet) I think your whole body hurts..... and with your diabetes you have to be especially careful in the lower extremities.
Good Luck and God Bless.
