my first question is, ever since we brought cainan back from the boarding place he's had something on his chin, i was thinking it may be acne but i could be wrong! i heard somewhere that when dogs eat out of tin or metal bowls they develope acne on their chin! I was looking at it the other day and i squeezed it, puss came out, but then blood soon followed! im not sure what exactly it is, but can someone help me figure out what it is, and if i can do or use anything i have around the house to help cure it??? (i've seen other dogs with it, and so i assumed it would be acne)
my second question is about corona, she chews on her paws alot...does that mean she has allergies?
thanks!!

Metal bowls seldom cause allergies- plastics do. And a Plastic allergy so to speak, would not occur that fast. My guess is more of a kennel cleaning agent- like bleach mixture. I would run the dog by the vet since you did find pus. Not only will they clean it up, but determine if the dog needs internal antibiotics.

Cainan most likely got bit by an insect (or flea), which subsequently got infected.
Corona probably is having a contact allergy problem. Depending on where you are located, leaf mold is a usual cause this time of year. Ask the Vet for the appropriate dose of Benedryl to give. It's also possible the allergy has resulted in a skin infection between the toes. Have the Vet take a quick look at it. Possibly a prescription salve such as Panalog will be needed for a few days.
