I got a call from an aquaintence saying he found a puppy. He said he almost hit it in his car. He asked people that were sitting on their porches if they knew who's dog it is. They said that someone had dumped him.
I have given him a bath, fed and watered him. He seems very healthy.
The Muttlies are completely fine with him. I am so proud of them once again.
He has pooped and pee'd outside and is sleeping right next to me.
I don't know what we're doing with him. As you all know it would be my dream to keep him but it is up to my parents. I can't help but to get my hopes up. I have been very upset the past few months and all I have wanted is a 4th Muttlie.
How old do you all think he looks? Breeds? I say Rott/Shepherd. He certainly is not fixed.
Wish us luck...

Aww! It was so nice of you to take him in.
He's such a cute little guy.. I agree with you about the mix. Shepherd and Rotty.
To me, he looks like he is about 12 weeks old, but I'm not sure.
I hope you do get to keep him. You would then have 2 black and tan muttlies, and 2 tan muttlies.
It would be perfect.

Yeah, I was thinking 12-15 weeks. He's about the size Ki was when we got her.

He's so adorable.:) I sure hope that your parents will decide to let you keep him. He'd make a wonderful early Christmas present for you.:) It sounds like he's already fitting right in too.:) I really don't know anything about dogs so I can't help you with age or breed.

Awww! Cuteness warnings needed here!!
You are going to keep him, right??? :p How can your parents say no to a face like that? Not sure what breed-definately rottweiler.
You should name him before your parents say no. Let's see..we got Timon, Zazu, Pumba...hahaha.

I would think 2-3 months old. He looks just a bit tinier than Molly when we adopted her - she was 3 1/2 months. Very cute! Love the fuzziness. :)
I definitely think Rottie/Shep.. but it's crazy hard to tell when they're so young.
Good luck with your parents! ;)

He's adorable, Kay! I know how much you've wanted to add a 4th muttlie, and he's even the right colour. I'd guess him to be about 12 or so weeks. Not sure if the breeds involved in his mix. The only thing I really see that screams Rottweiler to me are his colours and a tiny bit in his head shape. I see a Aussie/Retriever/Shepherd mix (though I'm not sure why) and maybe some Rottie thrown in there somewhere. It's always so hard to tell when they're young. Whatever he is, he's a gorgeous pup. I hope your parents will let you have him, but if they don't, I'm sure you'll find him an awesome home. :)

Ahh he is just so cute! He would fit right in with the muttlies especially with his mane and a name like Mufasa.
He kind of looks like Thunder when he was a puppy.

I don't see shepherd, really, gotta be something longer-haired in the mix. Rottie/Golden? Are his toes webbed?
Cute as can be, whether or not you get to keep him.

He is a cutie. The story kind of made me sad. I was wondering if the people saw him get dumped there. If they did gosh it was really nice for them to just leave the poor little guy there. Thank goodness for people like you that don't look over something like that. Good luck with getting to keep him!

This sounds like you may have someone's WELL TRAINED and possibly
very much Loved & Missed PET!!
Unless we're all totally mis-judging his age - it's very uncommon for a pup this young
to be THAT well potty trained - especially in a strange house.
Have you made any attempt to advertise him and/or search out a possible Owner?
Think back not that long ago when YOU had KiKi missing ...
It's devistating to "loose" a Pet - Before you "keep" this pup - you really
should make a serious effort to locate a possible owner.
But good luck in NOT being able to find his old owner. :p

But also make sure they "call to identify" you might get some wackjob saying that's their dog and it's not.
Kay, he is ADORABLE! i definatly agree that even though that you should try to find out if he's got owners missing him. although i hope he ends up staying with you and your muttlies! :D i think he definatly has shepherd in him. i love his ears!

Well, in all fairness to his old owner, if they care about him, let's hope they find him. So instead - let's hope that the old owner DOESN'T care about him.

It hasn't even been 24 hours yet guys! Of course we will be looking for his owner. I'm going to have him scanned for a microchip today.
Poor boy has bumps all over his backside.
The reason he had no accidents - he didn't have a chance to! We went outside every 10-15 minutes.
The guy that gave him to me said the people said there were other puppies but they couldn't catch them. They said there was a box of them.
Of course, this aquaintence is rather sketchy. I have a slight feeling it was one of his friend's dogs and they just didn't want him anymore. That's just a feeling though. Anyways, I am glad we have him now and we can give him some love and care in the meantime.

cute bugger.. Kinda looks like a GSD & BC mix.. To me the face looks like BC, but he fur, colour & body shape looks more like a GSD, then Rottie.. but its so hard to tell :p atleast hes a cuttie
If you plan to visit this area, feel free to leave him here :D
I'm guessing you missed the post about him already being a member of their family, named Mufasa.

Yep, he's officially our's now. ;)
I'm leaning more towards Shepherd/Chow now. Although it doesn't mean much, he does has black spots on his tongue. I think I'm safe with saying Shepherd mix. ;)

I'm at work & don't have the time to read all the pages, esp 4 of them lol
I just skim through the last page & someone said hope hes a keeper... so I assumed the decission hadn't been made yet... This time my skimming didn't pay off lol
When I have my room setup I'll be able to keep up on things again.. So many new dogs
