Do you own a pet that can't be found in a Pet Store?

Pigeons .. you won't find them in your regular pet shop lol!

A Morning Dove .. there not for sale at all!

Button quails (Selling them), not mine but there not found in pet shops.

well not right now.........but I too had quails.......I had this particular one thta was almost as trained as a dog!!......she would get out iof her cage so i could clean it and she would follow me around and when i said "ok get back in" she actually got back in her cage!!!..........how cute.........

I also had a roadrunner once as a kid.....about 6 years old (me, LOL), as well as ducks, chickens........oohh I also had a pigeon(common gray pigeon, don´t know name), but that one was a "stray" as it fell in my backyard when i was like 6-7 and i kept it till it could fly again

Nope, can't say I do! It's easy to find rats and gerbils in pet shops. :)

I have owned a squirrel and I know a woman who has a bat. I don't own anything that can't be found in a petstore now though

That was probably a feed-n-seed type store and not an actual pet store.

Technically they all could, but I've only seen schnieder's skinks a few times and my breed of bunny can't be found in pet stores. (he's a netherland dwarf) I only recently found out bunnies are sold in petstores.

Not the local pet shops. :p They don't sell mixed breeds (but DESIGNER mixed breeds, or other mutts with fancy names are welcome.) but still, I've never seen a greyhound in there, let alone a greyhound X whippet, which would be a rather unlikey thing for them to stock. :p If you just mean "animal" that can't be found, than of course, they do have dogs. :p lol, I'm not being much help, am I?

well the only place i have ever seen a Chicken is in a feed store, not a pet store. but it dosent matter. there arent any in pet stores around her!

Nope... Dogs, Cats, Rats, Birds, fish.. all can be found in a petstore.
Argranade, here they do sell pigeons in petstores. They're the cutest things.. and make the most adorable noises. :D I'm also happy to report that they appear to be healthy.. a surprise on my part.

We actually have two pet-stores here ... sorta. We have the main one, and then we have Pets Unlimited. Our Pets Unlimited sells Pigeons, which is cool. I don't think I own any animal that you won't find at a pet-store. I own a Crawfish, which I got at my pet-store, but I also know people who don't have them in their pet-store.

Various ones in the past, but right now only a few... I have a few kinds of snakes that I have never seen (and would be very surprised to see) in a pet store.

That said, you'd be surprised what poor animals you can find in pet stores! Some of my more unusual 'finds' have been opossums and pigs.

Nope, any of my reptiles could be found in a specialty reptile store (Beardies are a bit more common of course) and some pet stores unfortunately still sell dogs.

I have serious doubts that a boa could be found in a pet store as scarred and mangled as Vlad is though.

We sold button quail and mourning doves at the pet store I worked in. I LOVED the doves....so soft and sweet. One of my favorite customers was a magician who had a pair of lovely tame doves for his act (and as beloved pets of course). When someone donated a very sweet tame dove to our store we gave her to him for his act, he was so happy.

You probably won't see a Jungle Carpet Python in a pet store, it's possible, but not likely.

I also have a Prairie Dog which you won't find in a pet store as they are no longer leagel to sell.

In the past I've had a squirrel, hedgehog (they do have them in pet stores occasionally) pigeon (they don't have them at our pet stores!)

Nope. Unfortinatly you can buy dogs and bunnies from pet stores. Infact I bought my bunny from a petstore. I made sure they got their baby bunnies from a reliable breeder too.

I think in the spring you can buy chickens at some petstores. idk.

You can buy snakes at pet stores, even garter snakes but I doubt you will find the particular kind that I have at one..

My snakes are albino checkered garter snakes.

In Canada you cannot find Common Snapping Turtles! If you do, call the SPCA ASAP!!! They are illegal to sell!!!! & in many cases illegal to own. I'm legal so no worries there. Already had the SPCA up my butt for 2 months, until they found the correct laws that state I didn't break any laws in owning Axle :P

I think everything I own can be found in a petstore, although trying to find a mix that is the same a Rose would be a challenge! :D

Although, Ferrets aren't too common and are still illegal to own in some states.

i have a long-necked turtle.u cant buy reptiles at pet shops here.u have to get them from a licensed breeder.
