It seems hard to believe, but some juice companies are performing tests on animals, ( as do many food companies).
Welch's just announced that it will stop.

These tests are not required by law.

The following companies still test on dogs, monkeys, rabbits, mice and/or rats.

Ocean Spray [email protected] ([email protected])

POM Wonderful [email protected] ([email protected])

Tahitian Noni [email protected] ([email protected])

Companies that do not test on animals include;

Welch's

Sunny Delight

V8

Jamba Juice

Organic Valley

Cascadian Farm

Old Orchard

Sunsweet Growers

Tampico

Bolthouse Farms

Wild Oats Markets

Argranade

Those companies must know how much pesticides and cancer causing chemicals are in the food if they feel the need to test it before giving it to the public. How horrible if somebody sued for getting sick off cranberry juice. Shows how safe processed food is if they have to test it on animals.

I requested a packet of what places test animals a while ago and there are many more places that test animals than that... And it is really upsetting too.....

Thankfully out of that list I've only ever had Sunny D ;) I agree with Christina, it does seem very much over the top to test juices on animals, and I really hope it stops in the future. I'll save the e-mail addresses and send those companies a quick comment when I get some more time on the computer.
