spay and neuter

I have a mother cat and 5 kittens that need to be spayed and neutered. The cost is outrageous and more than I can afford. Anyone know of a clinic around the Springfield, Missouri area that offers discounts? Or any other advice? :eek:

First, Welcome!

Unfortunately, if the mother cat had been spayed in the first place then the cost would be greatly reduced (comparatively). I would try googling "free" or low-cost spays and neuters. Your local shelter, etc, might be willing to work with you on the fees, too.

Call any local veterinary schools, and the humane society. They both may either offer - or know of - a low-cost spay/neuter program.
