My Sidney is missing, PT Prayers needed.

I'm just beside myself. My precious Sidney has gone awol. We have a cat door so he goes in and out, but now he hasn't been here in over 24 hours.

We'll start distributing flyers/contacting shelters etc,. but I wanted to let you know because I know that the #1 way to find a lost pet is through PT prayers.

Prayers for Sidney from all of us. I hope he is home very soon.

Is he microchipped? If not, when he gets his butt home, please ask your vet to do that. That way if he ends up at a shelter or vet, they will scan him and you will be reunited much sooner. In the meantime....

Please take a photo of him to all the shelters in your area and fill out a lost pet form. Then look in EVERY room of the shelter (including the infimary and where dogs are kept) to see if he is there. Don't rely on their websites or the volunteers to find him for you. You know what your cat looks like more than they do. Ask to look at their DOA file in case poor Sidney was hit by a car. :(

Make up a flyer and walk door-to-door in your neighborhood and ask if anyone has seen Sidney. Kids especially seem to know where the pets are. Put up a lost pet flyer on your door or in your yard or on the mailbox.

Time is of the essence. Kitties at our shelter are only kept 3 days before they are adopted or put to sleep!

Don't panic, but please hurry. We were too late to save Kuhio. I wouldn't want any other family to go through that.

Sorry, but still no word on Sidney. We passed out flyers all over the neighborhood and have posted on web sites and have posted signs at local vets and clinics and I'm stopping by the shelter every couple of days.

When I go home each night, his food dish is waiting for him. We feed all of them in separate locations to keep the peace, and I just can't bring myself to remove his dish yet.

This is not like him to take off. We've asked our neighbors to check garages and sheds in case he got locked into one. (on the plus side, he is a little plump, so he could survive a little while without food). But he's also a shy kitty - he's not the type to allow someone to just pick him up and take him home.
