Dalmation horse

Remeber I posted about a Dalmation horse and nobody could find it?? I think I found it!! It's called a Knabstrupper.

Those horses are beautiful!

I have a dog book, and in the front of it there is a picture of someone riding that type of horse with around 4-5 dalmations behind it. :p

I know. I've only seen them online and in books but several people suggested that the breed you were looking for was the Knabstrupper.

Nope. Knabstrup and Appaloosa are two different breeds, although there is a Leopard Appaloosa. Here is the knabstrup:

It's a similar color, but not the same breed. It's just the same as if you had two chestnut colored horses, one could be an arabian and one a quarter horse.

Ah, yes. The Knabstrupper. There were a few of them at my old barn - cool looking horses. :)

A Knabstrupper is my dream horse. They are from Denmark and not very common in the US. They are built like warmbloods, which makes them very nice dressage horses

I've never met a Knabstrup horse in the flesh, but they certainly are beautiful!
