Chica was in the hospital Monday night until Wednesday afternoon. Her symptoms were vomiting. She was dehydrated also. The pet hospital put her on an IV for fluids and antibiotics. Her x-rays showed that her intestines did not look normal, but there was no blockage. The day I took her home (Wednesday)her x-ray show her intestines looked normal, and she was doing better. She did not vomit at the hospital. She ate a little baby food and kept it down. She was home with me doing fine. The Vet told me to just keep her quiet and feed her only baby food for a couple of days to let her stomach relax. The Vet also told me to give her pediolite, and flagyl. She was doing okay until today, Friday night at midnight she started vomiting stomach bile, foamy also. I took her back to the hospital . She is there now on an IV again. The Vet is also going to test her for pancreatitis and addisons disease. This is by bloodwork and sending it to a lab. Addisons test has to be sent out, but the pancreatitis test can be done at the Vet hospital.I won't know anything until tomorrow. :( :(
I thought she was recovering!!!!I guess not!! I have been so upset!!! :(

Thank You everyone. Maybe the Vet will tell me she can come home today. The Vet from last night called me this morning and said she is not suffering from pancreatitis. The second test for Addison's disease will be sent out to another lab for results. But if CHICA is doing better today, the Vet will probably let her come home. I have a lot of questions for the Vet. What should I feed her? What does everyone on pet talk feed their little ones? I thought it was okay to feed Chica ground chicken or turkey with her dry food. Her dry food is Royal Canin for Chihuahuas. I also have been adding chicken broth and soaking her dry food a little bit with it to. Is this to much of a fatty substance for a little dog? Please give me some advice.

I PICKED UP CHICA FROM THE VET HOSPITAL YESTERDAY EVENING AROUND 6:00 P.M. :) I REALLY MISSED HER!!!TODAY IS SUNDAY, and Chica seems to be allright. I was told to just give her baby food for a couple of days and then try her kibble. She was eating and playing with my nephew today.I am crossing my fingers that she will not vomit or have any more problems at this time with her intestines. Hopefully she will recover back to normal. :) :)
P.S. My Vet Hospital just called and said Chica's blood test for Addison's disease is negative!!!

Oh Sherry, I am so sorry to hear this. I know what a special little girl Chica is, and I hate to hear that she is feeling any discomfort. I hope the doctor can find out what the problem is soon, and that it can be straightened out for good. Give that sweet little girl some gentle hugs for me, please. I will add Chica to my prayers.
