Wow, this is a first that I see a hedgehog as a pet! Riz, you sure sound like a little darling! I guess you felt right at home and ate and drank although your human didn't expect you to do so. It just tells me you were very comfortable being there, and you knew you were going to be loved!

Seeing your pic doesn't make me wonder why everyone is touched after meeting you, I would be too, you are just simply adorable!

Is it common to have hedgehogs as pets in the USA? This is a first that I've heard of it too and it really amazes me... BTW, is there a big difference between pet american hedgehogs and wild european hedgehogs? Cause the hedgehogs I see over here are much darker than lil Riz is...

Anyways, Riz, you are adorable!! You look so adorable lying in your little shoe, and it sure sounds like you have a wonderful personality! :)

Riz, it sure is easy to see why everyone falls in love with you. You are so cute, sitting in your slipper. What a treat for all of us to see you - having a hedgehog for a pet is unusual - so we can all learn something.

oh , I have to show this to a friend of mine !!! She collects everything about hedgehogs !
Why ?? well , the last name of her husband is "De Stecker" , which is Dutch for "the Hedgehog" !!
The entrance to her house is so cute : two large and three small hedgehogs !! --> they have 3 kids !!

Riz, what a pretty little girl you are. I will admit this is the first time I have known of anyone having a hedgehog as a pet, but I don't see why not. It seems you have adjusted wonderfully to your new home and your human has done everything possible to make that happen even reading about you. I do love your coloring too. What a special pet you are. There have been one or two other hedgehogs on Pet of the Day but it's been a while. What a brave girl you are to start exploring your new home and bonding with your family right away. I've never met a hedgehog in person but would love to after seeing your sweet self.
