My albino gerbil girl just passed away.

I don't know how. I have them in a crate next to me to have some running around time. None of the cats or pup is around.

All of a sudden, I heard her stamping her feet (what they do when they're scared) and I looked down. It looked like she didn't have any control of her feet, as they were laying flat, and she was going around in circles. I immediately picked her up and she started wheeking so I put her back down because I didn't want her to flail or jump out of my hands. Then she fell over, stretched out her back legs, opened her mouth real wide, and started shaking. A few seconds later it was all over. :( About an hour ago, she acted like she didn't feel good but it lasted for a few minutes and then they all napped. Then they woke up and this happened. Troy said the way it sounded was like when mice or rats eat poison. However, there is NO possible way WHATSOEVER. We don't have poison, heck we barely have enough cleaning materials. The ones we do have are under the kitchen sink, all the way across the house. Plus, their habitat sits up in a nook all by itself high enough to where the cats can't bug them. Etc.

She was the youngest but the biggest. Bijou and Rota are still running around and staring up at me. They look so worried but they know that their buddy is gone.

You know, I told Troy earlier that I didn't know what I would do without my gerbils. Now, I guess we'll find out. :(

R.I.P. My sweet and spunky little girl. I hope to see you again one day! Tell Tier, Honey, Mimi, and Treasure to stop by some time. :(

Sorry to hear about your little girl. Sounds like she had a seizure. Gerbils aren't the kind of pet to have if you want longevity. They up and die right out of the blue sometimes..

Thank you guys very much. Your support means the world to me! :)

At least she is not scared any more and is frolicking with all of our bridge babies now. :) She was spunky and adventurous, a good leader, so I am sure she is romping with cats and gerbils and dogs and birds, etc, alike. :D

I am so sorry for your loss. Sounds like your little girl had a great personality! Now she is sharing at the rainbow bridge with all her new friends. You will see her again sometime. :) Rest in peace little gerbil.
