If you had to pick one would it be TV or Books? Personally I can't live without my books.

I didn't vote because I think it depends. Films and TV programmes made out of books are not usually as good as the book itself, but there are some things on TV which are amazing to watch and can take you to places around the world whilst still sat on the sofa. Personally, I couldn't live without both :)

Books, no doubt about it. Of course, I'd have to write my own PotC book. Or I could just read the script, which I do anyways. :p

Books, no question. There are some tv shows that I like, but I could certainly live without the 'idiot box' as my g-ma calls it :p

Books! They have so much more detail. And you can imagine it the way you want.
Books, you don't need electricity or batteries to read a book!
I hardly ever watch tv.

I'll admit it, I'm a tv junkie! I do enjoy reading, but I couldn't live without television. I must have it turned on all the time, even if I'm not watching it I like the noise. I also like to have it on when I fall asleep.

Gregory Maguire rocks! :D
Books, definitely. When I watch TV, I read during the commercials.

I also like to have it on when I fall asleep.Me too. I have to have it on for background noise or I go nuts. I have it on softly when I read a book (I'll have it on something I'm not interested in watching though). I never used to like it on when I fell asleep, but Justin changed that. Now I fall asleep much faster when the TV is on then when it isn't.

T.V of course!!
I read like 4 books a year or less, altho when I do start to read I don't stop till it's done .. like the other day I read a good book in one day! but I rather have T.V because I like nature chanels, Malcom In the middle, That 70 show ect .. lol.
A book would be my only option on a stranded island cause no electricity.
Actualy I don't watch T.V or read books realy so .. computer would be my 3 rd option! :D

I wish I could enjoy reading, but I have reading comprehension problems and I often jumble up what I'm reading. I hardly have the attention span for a book anyway lol.

I prefer books, I don't really watch TV much. I don't really read a whole lot, either, though, but mainly because I'm picky about what I read. Once I find an author I like, I read every single thing they've ever done...then I have to find something else. I do usually read at least a chapter a night before I go to bed though.
I spend too much free time online- though not as much as I used to. I also play the piano and work on art projects and of course play with the pets. :)

I do the same thing! Right now I am on Erica Spindler, reading everything she's ever written!

Gotta be BOOKS!
They're portable, don't need to be hooked to anything, you can go back if you've missed something, and everyone of them teaches something. The more you read, the more you comprehend.
But please don't take my TV :p

Have you ever tried audio books instead? Worth a shot.
I love books. Love 'em, love 'em, read 'em, give them as gifts, books are your friend!
TV is good, too, but given the choice, it's books for me!

If the poll was TV vs Reading, I would automatically go with Reading. I live to read, but I don't much read actual books per say anymore. Most of my reading is done on the computer. Even the fiction I read is on the computer. I've found you can find a whole slew of talented Bards on the web and can read their fan fic for free. Gotta love that!
But since it was TV vs Books, I'll go with TV. There's not much current TV that's all that good, but I love to get the DVD sets of my old time fave TV shows. I'll usually choose to view them, over most of what's on TV now. You'd think I'd get bored with watching the same shows over and over, but when something's a classic, it just doesn't get old. I drive my friends nutz quoting dialogue from Designing Women or Dick Van Dyke or Xena, etc.

I know. :D I'm about 3/4 through Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and I've already read Wicked and Son of a Witch. I have to take a break to get credit for another genre for our english free-read but then I want to read his other books.

Books. My crazy work schedule and pet demands have it so there are currently no shows I get to watch on a regular basis. I'd miss Family Guy and American Choppers a bit, but I could live without either, and it is pretty rare anymore for me to ever get to watch much tv at all. On the other hand, I've been a ravenous reader ever since I was a little kid. I'd go mad if I couldn't read new books and reread favorite ones.
